Yes, the fix works for other fire alarms. But you said in Feature point 2 that it did work for these. Which are fantastic.

I'm always a little confused on which file I need when there are many to choose from. I have the Ultimate Collection so I'm assuming its the one with the word "collections" in it? Or should I download the one with the most recent expansion pack? Thank you :-)

Wow, this will be useful! I currently have some retro/vintage kitchen stuff and similar to this, it has a smoke alarm which is a cabinet that typically goes above the fridge, separate from a hood thing, which has a light.

These aren't too modern, I don't think, so maybe they'll work as more options, but just less stuff. That's good.

I may or may not pick these up.

Sorry, I'm confused -- are these fire alarms shiftable for you with Goggalor's mod? I have it, but I still cannot shift these hood alarms up and down...

Awesome for sharing this! I'm confused about the files, though: If I wanted all the hoods to show up in my game, should I download the first three files and then the last file, which is the cabinets? Thanks in advance! I can't wait to try them out sometime.

I see some confusion in the comments about which files to download so I'm just here to try and clarify:

If you have the Ultimate Collection (or a game setup that has all EP's and SP's installed), you need only three files:
- alarmhoods-mas-ALL-defaultLangFixed.rar
This includes all the hoods, and the collection files too.
This even includes the MASTER file that is highlighted in the Downloads, so you won't need to get that one separately.
- EAMatch-alarmhood-recolours.rar
This includes the eight recolours, which I believe to be for every hood.
- UpperCabinet-Edits.rar
This includes changes to three of CTNutmegger's cabinets to fit the hoods better, but does not include the cabinets themselves.
You still need to get the cabinets here: https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=319599
If you have other cabinets than those, there will be unsightly side effects. There's nothing wrong with CTN's cabinets (I use them myself), so I'd say to just swap, if you use other cabinets so far.

If you are missing one of the following EP's or SP's:
- University
- Nightlife
- Open for Business
- Pets
- Seasons
- Kitchen & Bath Interior Stuff
Then you have to get the files for the packs that you own,
PLUS the recolours,
PLUS the UpperCabinet-Edits,
PLUS the Collections file.

If you have ONLY the base game and no other pack, then you will instead need the updated base game (Value) file because otherwise you'll get errors.
