eat dried food (on which most custom foods are based) and also serving/having tea with an animation
where sims drink holding the cup with two hands. A guy can dream, can't he? But don't hold your
breath while you wait for that, I'm not sure I'm able to do it and I'm not reliable anyway. Besides, I'd
rather fix the mod before adding new features.

For those who are having trouble, a better description of your problem would be helpful, I can't give
any support but a generic one otherwise (check game version compatibility, install NRaas MC PLUS
the Cheats module, etc).

You can remodel animations form Store Tea Set (if you can). According to me it is a good basis for drinking/serving tea animations.

Or something much more difficult. Try to convert animations for TS2 Bon Voyage. But I dont know if it is possible for TS3.

Is there some way you can "unlock" the Bow animation in the Chinese culture so that I can greet other Sims that way like in this version, and use it as an Introduction?

Your mods are very interesting. I love the sims but even when you dress them up in different cultural styles they are a little too generic for my imagination. It's nice to give them some individuality.

I'm glad you appreciate it despite its glitches. Lately I had the chance to play the game casually
and naturally (and not in the more controlled environment I use for testing) and I noticed an issue
with the "Introduce with bow" interaction: after using it you can still introduce a sim to another with
the official interactions. This is probably because I rushed that feature and also because I made
the greeting usable with members of the same household. I'll try to fix at least this when I'll find
the time and the will.

The fact that sims don't use the Japanese themed interactions autonomously is because I haven't
spent much time developing and testing that functionality, but I think it can be solved. On the other
hand I made no progress with the issues about the Posture.

I also noticed that during the bow animation the left foot moves awkwardly (it jerks) and when praying
the legs move (that's because at the same time I introduced that new animation I was also trying to
solve the clipping with bare legged kneeled sims and increased the angle between calf and tight),
but like I said in the mod description the current animations are only placeholders, there's no point
in making them better if the mod doesn't work the way it's supposed to work.

TurtleShroom: sorry for the delayed answer, I didn't notice your message.
I'm not sure if I get what you are asking me. You want all sims to be able to greet other sims using
the Asian Culture bowing even without the trait? You also want to use that for introductions?
As far as I can tell, there are 3 ways to achieve that, none of them very practical for different reasons:
- core mod
- scripting mod that rewrites/replaces a big chunk of the official code
- custom interactions like this mod does, but as you can see they are not perfect either.

I have been looking for something like this for I don't know how long!!! Thank you so much for doing this because I've always wanted my sims to have some sense of a "culture" that just seems to get glossed over. Thank you again!

This is AWESOME! Custom traits are really needed! If you ever have time, please do some kind of tutorial for making custom traits. I really need asexual, "disgusted by woohoo" and religious-like traits. Too much ideas, too less skills to create from the scratch.

Um, hi, I'm trying to make a trait called "Literal Living Doll" trait (It's supposed to be species, like "robot", or "simbot"), and, um, i'm using your trait as a base for it, this is my first time modding sims 3, so... I mean, it's going halfway well! I mean, it showed up in the game! :D
Only one problem: It showed up in the game... :'(
You see... It kept replacing it, and I know why... But when I thought I fixed it, your trait was there, but when I looked for mine in Nraas, It wasn't there! D: It's something to do with the decimal, I'm not doing it right... And I know it... I'm going to try again, I've been working on this myself for a few days... So... Yeah... Can you tell me how you added it? That might be the problem... I hate to ask... I don't know how you're going to react to it... Sense some people don't take it well... No offence...

Another beauty of using a "hidden trait" is that I believe it is inherited (or can be). Like the hidden traits of maids or firefighters, there's a chance (seems to be always) that the children will inherit the hidden trait. So, the children of a Japanese Sim may be do these things as well.
