The V2 file updates this mod to the 1.15.55.
This mod alters the two Homeless Households called 'Single Moms', the two household types which are being created again and again after a save game has gone beyond the first day or two.
Where the problem lies with these two household types being chosen over and over again I do not know, I haven't found it; these two household files seem to me to be used as a default selection of some kind 90-95% of the time, the game is ignoring the other household files which are written up in the list of possible household types (inside the filters.neighborhood_population_service file).
Therefore I have chosen a half-baked solution of replacing these two households with two different household types which I have defined, and it is these two which will be generated over and over again instead of the Single Moms. The screenshot below shows both of these household types and also one of the default EA households which are still available when the game is willing to use them. All of these households in the screenshots below were created on day one in a new game.
First, the families Kemp and Melendez. This is a default EA household which has been chosen from the list in the filters.neighborhood_population_service file; I received two of this family type because I believe the game is reading this file correctly on day one, the dice were rolled and gave me two of this type and the others which are shown.
Other possible EA families which can still appear are the caucasian parents with the female child, a coeds family with 4 young adults, the caucasian parents with the teen son and child daughter, the latin parents with teen daughter and child son, and the asian parents with the teen son. All of these families can appear later on in the game sometime, if the game is willing to generate one of them instead of using the Single Moms files. The other EA households like the newlywed couple, the two female roommates, the two male roommates, and the elder married couple have been deleted from the list, since they are simply not useful.
There are 3 households in the screenshot above which contain 6 young adults, the household will always be 3 males and 3 females, but there should be variation in which skintone is used; in other words if each sim appears to be african, asian, caucasian, latin, this is not set in stone. This household type is one of my Single Moms replacements.
The other family above and the families below are the other Single Moms household replacement.
This is a caucasian family with adult parents and two teens, male and female, and two children, male and female. Notice the De La Cruz family to the right. The youngest daughter is supposed to be caucasian, the 'sim template' used for creating the female child is the female child caucasian file; apparently being caucasian or african or latin does not necessarily choose or indicate the skintone (which explains some oddities). This is fine as far as that family is concerned, the daughter can be adopted or from a previous marriage or whatever.
This family with kids is the replacement for the Single Moms african mother with the teen daughter and child son, so in my games at least, this family should show up more often than the YA family.
Unzip the file and place the .package file in the Mods folder or subfolder.
