[Fixed] Now the interaction is available also if Sims go to (or return from) University and Vacation Worlds
(if the game is paused you must un-pause it and give it the time to "refresh" the cellphones).
Developed and tested with game version 1.67.
This mod adds the video recording feature of the video camera from Generations to cellphones.
It works with or without that EP. It allows to record a video and generates a custom memory
card (the cheap one, but see below if you want the other one) to store and play it with a TV.
If you don't have Generations installed you'll notice that some elements of the UI of the camera
mode (or whatever is called) are missing. Couldn't add them so far. They are the instructions to
use the camera: WASD for moving and "C" to start/stop recording. Other commands include:
mouse wheel (and probably also some combinations of keys) for zooming and ESCAPE to leave
camera mode without recording.
The max duration of the video is xml tunable (default is 60 seconds).
If you don't like to get the "Poor Quality Video" moodlet when watching on TV a video recorded with
the phone, you can easily change the memory card type with S3PE:
- open the mod package
- right click on the OBJK resource
- replace DataDiskCheap with DataDiskExpensive in the script string
- save, commit changes and save the package
This way you may occasionally get the "High Quality Video" moodlet.
Without Generations installed you wont get these moodlets.
