Lovely! So how do you do a default replacement on vehicles? I really want to rexture the taxis since they're so old and boring.

I don't know how to do it, but Mspoodle has some default vehicle replacements here> http://mspoodle1.tumblr.com/post/85...-ever-wanted-to.
She has the taxis, school bus and police cars, just click on the links in the post to see them and download

Thanks!

To replace the vehicles just clone them with S3OC but untick the 'renumber/rename internally' box. They're named CarBusSchool, CarTaxi, etc. and show up under the base game sort. Then use S3PE to extract the img files from the cloned package and edit the ones you want then import them back into the same package. I also use TextureTweaker3 to edit the CASt preset (I think you can do that with S3PE but I'm not sure how). Links to the programs are on the download info page.

If that makes no sense to you I can probably explain in more detail, let me knkow!

Thanks for these! Good work! When you say you use texturetweaker, does that entail bringing the image into photoshop when you use it as well?

Thank ye!

Nope, TextureTweaker just lets you designate the patterns and colours used for an object's presets. You can edit custom DDS files and use those, but I only use it to pick from from EA's patterns (the same ones you would see when using CASt).
So you could, for example, clone the guitar case with the pink lining that sims lay out when busking and change the first preset patterns so the lining is black and the outside is brown... or zebra striped - whatever!
Here's a tutorial

these are awesome! I really wasn't a fan of the weird yellow color ea went for... these are simple, but not too bland.. (my favorites are the light blue and the orange)

An absolutely necessity in my game now. I really like the colors as they blend in well with pretty much any world - especially the white variation. Thank you!
