Sorry if I wasn't entirely clear about this previously, Zoxell. It is our understanding that it's CLA that is trying to analyze the wrong (old) executable for Patch 1.69, thus repeatedly producing those errors. It's not that the players' games are using the wrong ones. In other words, it seems that the report CLA is producing is describing its own error, not the one that crashed the game.

Are we really way off base on that assumption?

Aha! Ok, that makes sense. I think you actually brought this up in a pm, come to think of it. I might be able to pry some free time away from real life and look into correcting that nasty little "red herring".

Ok, so I found the code causing this error for some people. Unfortunately, with my current setup it is not hitting that exception because I actually do have a ts3w.exe

I could simply remove the offending code (or alter it to account for both executable names?) Unfortunately, I do not have enough intimate familiarity with TS3 architecture to make an informed call on this one. Suggestions?

I actually have both files too (ts3.exe and ts3w.exe) but still get the error. I also get an interesting one upon loading and it cycles through each of my packs with the same error, which I'm attaching an image of, until it finally stops with "incorrect executable." I have a theory it might be due to my game install directory being on a different drive than the mods and such. Perhaps a setting to direct it for us non-standard peeps?

That's not a bad idea, actually. The install location is pulled from a combination of registry settings and some hard-coded values. Maybe providing a "browse" dialog to override that value would give you and others a way to point the tool in the right direction like you're suggesting. I can't get to it this weekend. Maybe later in the week I'll have some time (hopefully).

Hi sidfujso,
I do have one possible solution in mind thanks to the folks here. Unfortunately getting it done sits toward the bottom of a very long list of things to do. Also, with no real way to test any new code against the problem, it may require some coordination between me and some test subjects ...err... "volunteers".

justs start a git and let people test it. let me tell u of the test i did. i took the old analizer and used your .dll and instead of cant find ts.3 message and the sku missing messages only the sku messages came up.

so the cant find ts3.exe message yours gives comes from the .exe and the sku version error is from the .dll

Git is actually a really good idea. Folks wouldn't be waiting in my limited time. Both the exe and dll were choking before getting to those tests. I'm fairly certain the problem you're seeing is caused by a bad or depricated file path in the registry. Most of the problems I cleaned up were registry changes for 1.69 - and honestly I just got it to where the tool was no longer crashing for my s3 install.

Thank you so much for this update! I honestly did not know I would find one and had almost lost hope. You are the best.

I'm so glad to see that there is a 2016 year post for something like this. I would reallllllly like to be a test subject if someone is still working on changing the coding.
I was fine, but then all of a sudden after just using one little click, it triggered long saves-----my investigation of the mod causing the problem has made it worse. I'm willing to test with anything at this point!!

Thanks, your utility works for me. I found out why my game was crashing because of a bad save file. Your the best

Fixed some lingering issues discussed above. Rather than remove the TS3w.exe reference, I also allowed TS3.exe as a valid executable name. See bug fix notes for more.
Thanks and have a blessed day!

Hey, This program is very useful for anyone who is trying to detect issues with your game. However if your running Windows 10 like me, you may get this pop-up. It says that Windows Smart Screen detected that this program is harmful for your PC, something down those lines. Anyway, you don't need to panic as more than likely, it is safe to run. Just click more info on the pop-up and then hit run. Now it should work and now you can detect what's crashing your game. I hope this post helps anyone who gets this message when trying to run the program. Anyway for now, Goodbye!

After using this program it does not seem to work, it will run, the directory is correct, but will not detect the crash logs. Any fix for this, or is there a new modder who made a working crash analyzer?

It said "Warning Custom Content", BUT DASHBOARD DIDN'T DETECT ANY CONFLICTS!
