Has it ever bothered you that the teddy bear will look battered and completely worn out in no time at all? Does it seem unreasonable to you that the teddy you gifted to your newborn baby looks ancient before the baby is even a teen? Or if you, like me, play with extended age spans, before it's even become a child?

Sure bothers me! I'm glad Numenor fixed the aging, it's a nice touch, but he set it to become worn after 11 days. That seems much too fast to me. With Maxis aging, it takes 15 days for a baby to become a teen, which means it'd be worn half way through child stage if you buy it early. Not to mention those of us who play with an extended age span, it may look worn before the baby grows up to a toddler! So I set out to fix it, and it's time I share it with the rest of you.

What is this?
This is a global override that changes the number of days it takes for a teddy bear to look worn. Without this mod, it takes 11 days for a teddy bear to become worn.

I offer you four new durations. 20, 50, 100, and 1000 days. If you'd like a different duration, see instructions below for how to edit it. It's easy, I promise!

The mod will not restore worn teddy bears to new state, even if by the new code they would not be worn yet. Old worn ones will remain worn. It is possible that you have to re-buy teddy bears for the code to apply, but any teddy bear purchased after the mod was introduced will definitely listen to the new age duration

Compatibility
Requires CEP. The aging feature was introduced in the original code, but it was broken and did not work. It was fixed by Numenor in the CEP, so you need to have CEP or there is no purpose to this mod.

Install instructions
THIS DOES NOT GO IN DOWNLOADS FOLDER

This package requires CEP, and must be installed in the zCEP-EXTRA folder in your user files. Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/zCEP-EXTRA. If you do not have this folder, you either don't have CEP or it did not install correctly. Please consult Numenors Color Enable Package (CEP) for more information.

How do I edit this?
It is very easy to edit this if you want a different duration than what I offer, I encourage you to try it. You will need SimPE.

Instructions

As always you are welcome to ask me for help, if you can't or don't want to use SimPE. I will help you as soon as I have time to.

Conflicts
Conflicts with the CEP-package CEP-EXTRA_TeddyBears. This mod must load after the CEP-EXTRA package. If you want to rename it, make sure you keep the z in the beginning so the load order stays correct, or it won't work.

Policy
You are welcome to edit this for your own use, but don't share your modified version. This is such a simple edit, if people want a different duration they can edit it themselves.

Credits
simsample for reminding me that the teddy bear is part of CEP, which explained why I couldn't get it to work at first. Thank you!
