Could you explain how this works, roughly? Since the gender isn't determined by the game until the actual birth?

Lovely idea. Can you also make a (non-burned) cake based on the shoddy icing one? It's kinda neat looking.

It's mostly for ambitious story tellers Who would either take two sets of pics, one with each possibility, or use the method of saving right before birth, then restarting without post-birth save if you don't get the gender you want. It's most likely not useful for many folks, but I had the urge to make it so I did, lol.

You learn something new everyday I didn't know about that custom, but I think the cakes look yummy. They'll come in handy as a short ceremony for sims that decide later in life that their sex and gender do not match any longer. Or for sims with the Birthqueen skin who manifest their gender at teenagehood (girls become grey, boys stay green).

Great idea for storytelling. Most of the time I know what gender baby my story sims are having (using the save before birth method), and the cakes would be great for baby showers and such.

I am not a story teller, but a cake needing 1 cooking point is definitely worth having :) (And, justJones, thanks to you I am off to a place to have some cake right now :))

Haha, yup *raises hand* I'm guilty of the "save, exit, repeat until I get the gender I want" method (for births). That aside, I love the look of these cakes and will probably use them a lot. Thank you!

Not sure I get it. A sim mom becomes pregnant and, say, wants a girl. Does she then order the 'girl' cake and eat it to get a girl or what? Just exactly how do the cakes work operationally? Do the cakes hack the gender of the unborn child?

Imagine a world without hypothetical situations

Ok, so I realize that at first, this seems a bit odd, since there's no way in the game of knowing a baby's gender till it's born. However, I still decided to make these for those who are either ambitious enough to do pics with both possible outcomes or those who do the "save, then birth, restart till you get what you want" method

The cake does nothing, other than fill hunger like any other cake. It is for story telling.

I made a german translation, because the game defaults to "Sahnekuchen" for both colors of cake in my game. No way to tell which is which.
The zip contains both the edited packages and the text strings for importing - is that okay or should I take the packages down again?

I don't like gender reveals, but I might use these in "meet the baby" parties.
