They're not packed into Sims2Packs... you decide what you want. For instance, you don't want the sims; but the hair; clothes and archetype, then you can do so by deleting the other packages.

I only want the face templates..do I only place the face packages into my game? And what about the Archetype?..About the guy's hair, this is already in my game, so what is the hair package? the woman's hair would be new though.

Face is not the face template.. it's the face paint.
If you want to have the face template, download the Archetype file instead.

The hair package includes the mesh of the hair + the recolors of the hair in one package.
So, if you already have the guy's hair, delete it! Only install the woman's hair if you want.

Question: If I already have a Sim that got generated with the broken face template of Kurt? I can't remove that version from my DL folder and replace it with this one, correct? Is that safe? Can I fix him?

No, it's safe. Don't worry about that. Removing a face template does not corrupt the sim or the neighborhood. However, that sim needs to be fixed. I'd say create a temporary neighborhood with just one sim with Kurt's face template. Then, you can close the game, open up the temporary neighborhood and then the sim's character file. Go to "Facial Structure" and right-click to extract it to desktop.

Now, open up your real neighborhood and then the affected sim's character file. Go to "Facial Structure" and right-click to replace it with the one you extracted to desktop.
But WARNING! Don't choose the .xml file when you're replacing the file. Choose the .simpe file. This is important!

Yes, I have recreated Hilary Duff and Jeanette Biedermann too. Actually, I found some other celebrity sims too, made by EA which were broken. (Tata Young, Paolo Meneguzzi, Andy & Lucas). I have fixed them all, but still didn't have time to create the upload page for them. But once I've got time, they'll be up too! So, stay tuned for them!
