So far I'm taking your advice and so far everything is going good. Thank you and I am so so sorry for taking up your time over this. I'm just such a fan of PuddingFace's Enhanced Witches mod and Sims 3 is my all time fave of the Sims games so I got very worked up by the how I couldn't play it. Again, I am so sorry for putting you through this and thank you for your help.

Hi there, I'm having an issue with the Utility mod. I have done the half n half til you whittle it down method, and for whatever reason when I have the utility mod in the mods folder the game will load until right after the opening video plays, it'll load for a second, the music will glitch and then it crashes. I also did a completely fresh uninstall and install. I'm just at a loss of what to try from here, your mod is so essential to many that I use and would hate to lose so many many QOL mods.

1. Did you already try to just install the utility (and maybe the nraas mods you might have) without any other script mod (Cas part mods etc should be fine) ?
2. There might be an outdated mod in your mod suite that requires an older and now incompatible version of the utility.

If the game loaded fine when following step 1, go through the mods that require the Utility and do the 50/50 method just with them.

Let me know if that worked

Test 1: Just loading the game with only Utility worked
Test 2: Just Utility and Nraas together crashes.
Test 3: Redownloaded all the Nraas mods I use from their website (in case I missed an update) and the newly downloaded Nraas and Utility crashes.
Test 4: removed all but master controller and story progression and it loaded
Test 5: Utility, Master Controller, Story Prog, and Career works
Test 6: All prev and Debug Enabler, Consigner, and Cupcake crashes
Test 7: Debug works
Test 8: Cupcake is the crasher
Test 9: added all flavors minus Cupcake and it works

Not sure why Cupcake specifically has stopped working (i used it previously and it was fine) but I found the culprit! Thank you for the suggestion, i don't know why I didnt think to split up the Nraas mods as well.

Ok thats weird.
1. Did you ever isntall S3SE ? if so see if "BatteryLib.asi" is still in your "Game\Bin" Folder. if so temporarily remove that file.
2. Make sure you have no duplicates in your folders every mod should be there only once
3. which version of the utility are you using is it up to date and from here or the nexus ?

Also if thats not the case could you provide a list with your installed nraas mods for me to check ?


E: ok ill check out cupcake

E2: maybe you did remove some of the store objects cupcake seems to work on, this at least would explain the crash
