can u make it default replacement?

I have to ask, why have you made this as a stand-alone item and not simply a replacement of the original broken version?

Every default replacement items that I have seen only add swatches to the existing mesh/recolor and then flag the item as custom. I did not want my dress organized like this and that is why it is a "custom" item. I am more comfortable working with custom items as opposed to default replacements.

That's fair enough.
If you use S4Studio and use the Create Override option then the finished package will replace the original. No extra swatches or other entries in CAS. The custom wrench will show if you just put the package into your mods as it is but, since all you have had to change are some textures, if you delete everything else out of the package that you haven't changed then the game won't flag it as CC.
Just something to bear in mind if you ever decided to make more fixes in the future.
