Some years ago, I built an abandoned factory for Phaenoh's contest (http://www.modthesims.info/showthre...139#post5102139) , but it was not playable (it did not need to be) and far too large to be useful to Sims. I always wanted to have a similar building in my game that could actually be used, so here we go today. This is a completely new lot that I built, with one of my fortune sims in mind as a future owner.

Custom Content Needed, but not included:

(I have used all the meshes and some of them are slaved to the a window and a door, so it is better to download the complete set).

A little story:

"You bought what???"

"That old factory...."

"But it is just concrete and cement and...."

"Yes, absolutely beautiful!"

"What are you going to do with it?"

"Not me. We. We are gong to turn it into a wedding venue. Just think of the fabulous photo's they can take, next to the pipes against the wall!"

"Uhm... We will have to make a garden too, for photo's. And water features and fountains and statues, and inside, decorate it..."

"Differently, though - with lots of neon lights and gearhead chairs and ..."

"An indoor garden, but we will put down some flowers for the occasion too."

So, welcome to the factory wedding venue!

The garden has been made:

The interior has been decorated

and on the second floor, there is a coffee cafe where the supervisor's office used to be, as well as an area to keep the kids and teens busy who may get bored by the wedding itself:

The venue has the wedding arch, a bar, a dance floor with a DJ booth and tables and buffets on the ground floor. The public toilets are on the right side, on the left side, you will find two bathrooms, one for the bride, one for the groom and a kitchen (because wedding venues have kitchens, don't they?).

On the second floor, there is a coffee cafe, the area for kids and teens (and other bored adult sims), as well as a photo booth. There is also a camera if your sim wants to watch the proceedings from above and take a few photo's.

Defaults I have in my game (not needed, but may explain why the lot may look slightly different in your game):

Roof trims by Honeywell : https://modthesims.info/d/555318/a-...m-defaults.html
Ceiling Default Replacement by Honeywell : https://modthesims.info/d/564982/ce...eplacement.html
Concrete wall replacement by Maranatah : https://modthesims.info/d/470106/sm...placements.html
Wall top texture replacement by Maranatah : https://modthesims.info/d/443534/aw...ee-flavors.html
White Floor Edge Replacement by Feenwald : http://www.feenwald.com/en/specials...s/flooredge.php
Deckstairs from Numenor : http://modthesims.info/d/53159

I hope some of you will have a lot of fun. I play tested a copy of the lot and everything went smoothly, although there was no actual wedding during the testing (my test sims are already married - but they did eat, dance, took a photo, could get to all the statues in the garden to look at and had fun too.

This is my contribution to #catchup 2019 and themeSHC - because a wedding is a celebration, is it not?
