I have a family whose only source of food is what they can gather and I just gave up on cooking their food because whenever a fire started they couldn't put it out. Thanks so much!

I don't have Outdoor Retreat, but I believe this bug is older than the April Patch: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Repor...ght/true#M82157

(If I'm wrong, though, let me know.)

Yeah, everywhere I kept finding people reporting this bug but the dev wouldn't acknowledge it. I tried to find no campfire fire mod but there isn't any for the latest game ver. I want my sims to go camping and got really annoyed with this bug. That's why I learn how to mod tuning value and create this one.

Does this only work for campfires? I'm having problems with this with all fires.

Odd that's happening for you. Try having sims' trait naturalist or equip your sims with freezeray

I believe some of the no fire mods are here at this site. Nevertheless, can you list out the objects that you don't want fire from? I will take a look at it if the mod doesn't exists

Yeah this problem is older than the April patch. Also if your sim gets their guitar out, it promptly bursts into flame.
So, yeah, at least I can go camping without constant disasters around the campfire!

I haven't used these portable OR campfires since the June 3rd game patch but one weird thing I noticed about them before was that they seemed perfectly safe to use on Generic lots or in common areas, like in the Granite Falls campground. They only seemed bugged (ie prone to too many accidental fires with no chance to extinguish) on Residential or Rental lots. I made several unofficial campsites in various worlds with the Generic lot type and the OR campfires worked just fine. I'll definitely give this mod a try, thanks!
