I'm curious - which one will/would you use the most; and why?

Once you put in a side door, you will probably find that the house develops bizarre routing patterns, like going from the front room to the kitchen by going out the front door and around and in the side door -also the same in reverse. Sims are just weird that way, I guess.

Just in general? Or, this specific house?
Because I've had sims living here for a long time, and I never noticed anything strange.
Of course, maybe my play-style is different than yours? I play smaller families, and tend to micro-manage...

In general. I think I may have left them not enough space to get between rooms - they don't seem to like having only one square to pass through. (Same problem you see in the Curious house, where the Curious brothers and any alien offspring they have will go out one door, around the outside, and back in by another door rather than squeeze through some of those tight spaces.)

Didn't use your house specifically, but borrowed some of the ideas, and, well, the residents have been acting oddly.

Update: Installed a couple of archways (Sims prefer arches to doors), reoriented the spiral stairs, and that seems to have fixed the routing problems.

Ah... yes, sims do NOT like 1T hallways.
I use them (1T halls) if I am building for historical accuracy (which I often do!) But, they'll stomp their little feet. *sigh*
You know, tight hallways are tight hallways in real-life too. I don't blame the sims for complaining one bit!

Usually if you include several doors in/out of the area, they will get where they want to go.
