I never properly thanked you for doing this like I should of quite a while back, but it's high time I did!


I'll have to test it with the current patch, but the last time or so I used it, it seemed okay despite the alerts from BE. (That said, use at your own risk/discretion.)

Not gamebreaking but sometimes sims get stuck with the notebook in their hands and cant put it down/use it again. Other times they leave the notebook behind but still get stuck with a "holding notebook" pose. I have to manually reset them to fix them, but I'm still not sure what triggers that, most of the time the mod works as intended, so I still keep the mod.

I just wanted to note, with the addition of Likes & Dislikes, if a Sim likes writing they don't get the moodlet or fun increase when they write with the notebook. Nothing game breaking but it probably needs a small update to account for the new preferences system.

This is just what I needed for my Emily Dickenson Sim living off the grid.

Yeah, I'm having a similar issue. Here's to hoping this mod gets updated to the current game version! *Crosses fingers* This mod suits my off-grid historical sims...and it's the only one I can find. I'll keep this tracked in case it ever gets updated.

I might have a bug - when I resume writing the progress I've made disappears, so the book must be written from the beginning all over again, making it impossible to finish a book do you know how to fix this?

I'm glad I had this mod for as long as it worked. With game version 1.98.127.1030, I got a message from the Patch Day Scanner in Better Exceptions (not an exception report). Specifically, it said this mod has invalid tuning and several incorrectly matched tuning types:

That same "expected 'V', got 'T'" message showed up for multiple other things:

It kiiiiind of works for me, but it does show up in Better Exceptions as having outdated tuning and sometimes glitches out. Since my game's been having issues due to out-of-date CC I'm going to have to delete this. I've used it to level up the writing skill of my 1940s' journalist, to have my Asian scribe write poetry, my 19th century Polish doctor to earn money with non-fiction medical books and with many, many more sims. I really hope that the original author is going to return some day, or that someone updates the mods' tuning because it was the very best thing for any kind of historical or fantasy sims.
