CHRONICALLY ILL
"This sim is chronically ill. Chronic illnesses can't be cured. You just have to learn to live with the symptoms."
Update Notice
As of 9/30/21, I have done a complete overhaul of this trait. The first change is that the trait is now a personality trait versus a reward trait. There are new socials, several new moodlets, and I've altered the amount of need decay for energy, meaning your sim is going to need to sleep a lot more to maintain their energy levels. This has made the trait more challenging, but also more realistic, and I welcome your feedback!
Sims with this trait become tired more quickly than other sims. They get random moodlets for pain, feeling sick, and having cognitive dysfunction known as "brainfog." When this happens, logic skill is lowered until the moodlet expires.
They have a chance of having uncomfortable moodlets for overdoing it when engaging in physical activity, having an upset stomach after eating, and having a painful reaction to yoga.
They have 5 unique socials, and get whims to take naps, sleep it off, and treat sickness with medicine.
SMALL DISCLAIMER
I based this trait off my own experience with having mixed connective tissue disease (an autoimmune condition) and fibromyalgia (a pain disorder). There are many different chronic illnesses and symptoms and I certainly could not encompass them all in one trait. Your experience with chronic illness is likely to be very different than mine, even if we have similar conditions, so this trait may not represent your personal experience.
Currently the mod is available in English and Spanish. I welcome any further translations!
You will need Scumbumbo's XML injector in order for this mod to function properly.
I hope you enjoy this trait. Take care, and happy simming!
