I can't get the subhood or the main hood to work. Trying to add a subhood it asks to pick a custom downtown. When I try to load the main hood it crashes the game on loading.

Hey! Love this revamp! I've just got a new PC, and I had this on my old laptop so naturally had to download it again. Problem is, some of the buildings are glitching pink. I highly doubt it's an issue with my graphics card not being able to run it because this PC is lightyears better than my old laptop. I've tried deleting and redownloading the CC folder and default replacements to make sure I did it correctly and it hasn't fixed. Any idea how to fix this?

EDIT: I found the issue! I had the seaWater.package file that was conflicting with the Better Nightlife mod. Deleted it from my downloads folder and all working perfectly! Posting here in case anyone else ever has a similar issue. https://criquette-was-here.tumblr.c...hood-deco-night

If your neighborhood already has the original Maxis Downtown attached, then I believe you can't add this downtown as-is, because those have the same name and ID (D001).

If that's the case, you can try renaming all files and folders' prefixes of this Downtown from D001 to (for example) D999 using Bulk Rename Utility, and then try adding the downtown again. Make sure it's in the right folder (NeighborhoodTemplates under the Nightlife EP).

I have to say I appreciate the hard work you put in to this. I absolutely love this. I did have problems when I first downloaded, like some of the above mentioned, where it did not show up in my game. However I already have a mod by Mootilda that allows multiple downtowns, shopping districts in the game. They have me put the file in :The Sims 2 Open For Business\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate file instead of the nightlife file. So I tried that and yours came up under downtown. So maybe a possible fix for anyone that uses that mod and can't get your downtown to show up?

This looks fantastic! Can't wait to get to play with this. Unfortunately loading up downtown after adding it to my neighborhood crashes my game, haven't figured out why as of yet. I'll try to troubleshoot it. I got it to show up with Mootilda's multiple subhoods mod straight off the bat, no problems there.
Edit: I narrowed it down. The hood and lots load up fine and sims can visit. The nightlife 18:00 call to invite someone to downtown for a date or outing crashes the game. Probably a mod conflict. So, your neighborhood works perfectly!

I added this as the Downtown to my main neighbourhood, and it looks great so far. The original decor used to give me a headache! Thanks so much for all of your hard work.

I did have trouble getting the lots to show up properly when I added this subhood to my game. The subhood loaded fine, but I found empty lots instead of buildings. I eventually figured out that I had to change the file names for the lots to match the designation I'd given to this subhood in my Program Files. I'm not an expert, but perhaps the game couldn't work out that the lot files in Program Files belonged to this subhood as they were given different names. I hope that makes sense!
