Wow I love how they look! It's weird how they look "worse" (less pretty), but it actually makes them look better as in more distinct and real. You can really see the family resemblances now, that will help a lot considering I sometimes tend to forget who's related to who lol. I can't wait to see how these genes will play out in further generations.

I've been playing with the genes for a few hours and I'm so happy that these genes are as wonderful as I expected. The next generation looks incredibly good! You can now definitely tell very clearly who are cousins, not only who are siblings. Even between half-cousins I saw interesting resemblances. And most genes play out in such a way, that they look like fairly realistic people (except for Nervous' and Chloe's kids, not sure why I paired them, and the alien gene expressions).

I guess I'm only wondering whether you're planning on doing other premade hoods as well. I don't know if the other hoods are genetically correct or not, lol. I never looked into that. I'm wondering, because even though I recently finished setting up a new uberhood, I'd really want to cancel that and start all over. But only with a complete set of GC hoods. I would definitely be willing to wait a long time for that.

This is so great!!! I've been planning to make a megahood of the basegame+Belladonna Cove for my first rotational play, and thinking of doing all of this myself was overwhelming, to say the least! That said, you have townie Bella in both this neighbourhood and Pleasantview—if I just want one, which should I delete? I assume the Strangetown version, but I haven't deleted sims via SimPE before so I want to be sure I do it right!

(edited because i clearly wrote this right after waking up, wow)

I'm so glad you like it and the genetics, and I appreciate the feedback! Great to hear that they are expressing well in later generations, it was a huge effort to give every single sim various recessive traits!

Regarding your question about the other hoods - Yes, it is my goal to eventually have a genetically correct version of all of the maxis hoods. I won't make any concrete promises, since I am super busy aside from my simming life, but my next project is either Veronaville or Bluewater Village, and then like I said, eventually the EP hoods as well, though I can't say (nor do I even know) when they will be made/published yet : )

I had this same question asked on my Tumblr. I am going to paste my response to them here and hopefully this will help you out : )

The question regarding Bella is something that posed kind of an issue when I was thinking this over. My recommendation to this issue is that you either kill the extra Bella OR give her a prisoner token. I know this isn’t really a great solution, but it’s the best I can offer...I’m sorry there isn’t a better option - I wanted things to be easy for most people without having to screw around with adding a Bella subhood. You can also use SimPE to hide her like in the original PV, but I’m not exactly sure how. If you’re part of Cindy’s PleasantSims discord (which I highly recommend) there is a tutorial for this pinned in her sims 2 help channel. But to put it simply, I would not recommend you delete Bella, and rather kill off/give Strangetown Bella a death token, and then give the Pleasantview Bella a memory of being abducted (if she doesn't already have it with the clean templates). Let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks,

Mike

Well, first of all, thank you for your work

I think, it's also important to tell and write in the Info, that the gravestones can disappear, Hoodchecker did nothing, but repaired only that, what was there. There was not a single gravestone listed in there in the whole Neighborhood, what means to me, there was none to bring it back. And, also there was nothing in the Storytelling folder at all. I don't know if this was meant or purpose, or not, but i think, i gaved a try, this version is not entirely without tombstones imo. This means of course not, that i don't liked your work.

Sorry, is the Story Telling folder meant to be entirely empty? I opened it to take a look and there's nothing in there.

Default Trouble Installing
I placed the file into my neighborhood folder, and I do not have the clean template. I am new to clean templates, and have been researching ways to get them to work. If I could get some help getting this into my game that would be great thanks!
