Ok I had this piano converted by someone else but it was very problematic (for ME) https://modthesims.info/d/498644/an...r-keyboard.html all sims were obsessed with it and even mod noautonomouspiano didn't work... I will try this version.

Hello @VMarcinV
I was unaware it was already uploaded - I tried the usual search hash tags for Sims3 objects and it didn't show.

I tried to convert this piano about six months ago and had no sound when Sims were performing - thus abandoned.
I have resolved that sound issue now but at the expense that there is no tip jar.
I don't think there should be any issues as I got Darren and Dirk to do all the options available, but try it and please let me know if there is a problem and also advise me of what expansion/stuff packs you are using in your game.

I had all my TS2 games on discs from the beginning in order how they came so I have all of them but then I converted them to iso files and every time I have a new computer I always use these files. It works 17 years and I don't have problems with my game (now) but it was very looong process to delete problematic CC and mods (now I have 29,000 CC and 200 mods in my game - and YES everything works! 6G of compressed CC and my game loads 5min 35 seconds so it's perfect) that's why I am very picky these days. I have many of your conversions in my game and never had problem so I hope it will be the same in this case... and by the way thank you for your hard work because you make our very old game STUNNING. My game looks more like The Sims 10 with all CC.

Hello @VMarcinV
Great to read you are enjoying your game and all your CC and mods content.
The reason I was asking about the expansion/stuff packs is to find out if you were not playing with the Freetime EP as it could make a difference to how the piano works.
With Freetime, there are some new interactions (e.g formal wear whilst in Zone and performing), and as I have Freetime installed, I am unable to check how it works without it.

@Ladysimplayer8, are you aware of Argon's custom instrument hack? There's a link to the MATY thread on that MTS upload page--maybe reviewing that and Argon's mod will help you figure out how to fix the tip jar?

And yes, this keyboard has been done before (this one was also done by Amovitam, if you want to see how that one works and if you can learn anything from it).

Your comment about not knowing that this was done before makes me think you are a bit newer to the TS2 community? Or perhaps returning after a long absence? I have noticed that a few sets of yours have already been done before. Now, I haven't really looked at your uploads in detail, so I don't know if you know something exists, and have improved it in some way (added subsets or new recolors, etc.). But in case you are completely unaware of what's come before, I do want to let you know about a few resources/places to search.

So for TS4, with this being the latest sims game, there will obviously be a lot of overlap because everyone is working on converting the same sets at the same time. But do check Tumblr. MDP started a clothes database and morepopcorn started a build/buy database.

With TS3, I see a lot of databases around but the one I'm used to is this one: https://322cdb.livejournal.com/ I don't think it's updated anymore--but that's okay; it'll show you some of the older conversions out there. Nowadays the simming community is very invested in Tumblr, but back in the day, simmers were on Livejournal and Dreamwidth. And off the top of my head, some of the converters I know were Veranka (Tumblr), Amovitam, TheNinthWave, Hafiseazale (Tumblr), Decat, and Delonariel (Tumblr). I think Shastakiss (Tumblr) has also done a few things too, though more recently. Oh, and Simscave might be another place to look; they do have a finds thread on there.

I feel like there was a time when 3t2 conversions weren't really accepted on MTS, iirc. So that might be why you don't see them on here. But just because there weren't on MTS, doesn't mean they didn't get done. So yeah, those are some creators you can check out; look on Garden of Shadows, too--sometimes conversions were uploaded to events there--and do search LJ and Dreamwidth if you don't see things in a regular web search. I'm realizing nowadays that user history might play a part in someone's search results. I've been active in the community and downloading cc way before TS3 was even released so that might be why I (or a simmer who's been around a while) can find things and you can't. Finally, if you are ever unsure, or just want to double check, don't be afraid to post in the WCIF forum--other simmers will let you know if they've seen it before.

Finally, please don't take all this the wrong way--I don't want to be discouraging. I really do appreciate all your hard work and efforts, and have even used some of your uploads. I guess I'm just concerned that you're using all of that awesome creative energy you have, doing things that have already been done before, instead of something new or building on what came before. Anyway, hope that helps.

Hello @Phantomknight
I appreciate the time and effort you have taken in your comment.
I am smiling as I read that I might be new to Sims2 - I started playing the Sims in October 2004 but it wasn't until 2007, I moved on play Sims2 and was a member of The Sims2 UK Forum which I enjoyed. For many years I was a 'guest' of Mod the Sims but only became a member in August 2020 when I first started to convert Sims 3 objects to Sims 2 and wish I had tried earlier!

I have been made aware on a few occasions of the fact that objects have been previously created and available on other websites/databases. My focus is in creating sets and not single items (this piano was a straggler!) so that members/guests do not have to hunt around various websites for all the different items that make up a set. Prior to uploading, I do search the Mod the Sims website with all possible hashtags in case items exist but it doesn't help if the piano has a different name rather than it's Sims3 name.
Thank you for explaining why conversions are on other websites rather than Mod The Sims - if you are familiar and know creators on the other websites, why not encourage them to upload here as it is okay now?

I am far from discouraged as there are hundreds of objects - possibly thousands! - in Sims3 and Sims4 that could be converted.

A lot of them aren't active anymore, tbh. And remember that MTS has strict upload system, compared to everywhere else. Some find it too daunting/cumbersome.

Hello @moseaclaidin
Yes Sims will gain the Creativity Skill by practising or performing on the piano (see Darren playing).

Both Darren (and Dirk who is smustle dancing) also gain Music & Dance enthusiasm for players with Freetime installed.

Yes, you would think the hard part would be creating the object with functions that work properly
Just as well I am a great believer in EA's motto - Challenge Everything!

Hello @istillplaythesims2
I assume you mean the Ultimate Collection?
Unfortunately, I am unable to check how the piano works with the Ultimate Collection installed. So far no one else has advised me of this issue.
The best thing to do is remove from your downloads folder and I will put a message on the description of this error to advise anyone with the Ultimate Collection.
Sorry.

Hi! No, the Super Collection is the Mac Edition available on the App Store. It contains expansions up to Bon Voyage and Stuff Packs Glamour Life, Family Fun and Holiday Stuff. Thanks for any help! It may just be a conflict with my existing mods

Hello @istillplaytheSims2
Thank you for advising me of the Super Collection for the Mac Edition - I will update the message on the description.
I do have the Freetime EP installed which introduced new interactions e.g. being in the zone and dressing in formal wear to perform but it still was cloned from a base game item so unsure whether it would effect it or not.
There is a possibility that it could conflict with one of your existing mods - if it is possible to easily remove your other mods to check, you could try that?
However if removing your existing mods means uninstalling them, I would strongly recommend taking a back-up of your Sims2 game first; and if you really enjoy your progress in all the neighborhoods might consider opting not to have this piano in the game.
