And after four months....

Date Posted: 10th Nov 2007 at 12:06 AM

Eeep! It's been nearly four months since I logged on or touched a sim. Two back to back serious illnesses in the family and the madness that is second year Vet school forced me to take an abrupt break from simming. I wasn't near a computer for much of the summer, due to family stuff and then school started on top of everything else.

Thanks to all of you for your support, and my deepest apologies to those whom I never got back to. It wasn't meant as rudeness. Real life is just pesky sometimes. I've missed simming, but for a while I was just too exhasuted and stressed to check in, and I appreciate the support more than I can say.

Of allergies computer nightmares and Sims

Date Posted: 1st Jul 2007 at 3:09 PM

I think my simming may be cursed! As soon as summer holidays hit and I had only a job and not classes and a job, allergies made me miserable and may have triggered the migraines that have put my Simming on hold. Fussy visual things especially with weird lighting (like a computer screen) were out.

Now that the headaches are under control enough to do a little messing about with Sims stuff, the game is broken. I tried to patch and ended up with a game that refuses to install (defying all logic and technical help articles). Sigh! (obscenties left out to protect the innocent )

Anyway, my apologies to those for whom I promised to make or fix things (if anyone happens to read this). I didn't forget, it's just going to be a bit longer.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading. Hope your summer is going well

First Journal Entry and First Year is Done!!!

Date Posted: 26th May 2007 at 12:53 AM

I'm finally not a first year Vet student anymore (as of yesterday morning ), so with my extra time I thought I'd give a jornal update in case anyone might read it (if so hi!!). I also wanted to thank everyone who has given comments, words of encouragement and thoughtful suggestions on my stuff. It has meant a lot.

Now with my free time, I'm not sure I know quite what to do with myself, but I'm sure I'll find something. I will finally have the time to finish a massive set of clothes for teen boys that I've been working on off and on for what seems like forever. Stay tuned....

Happy Memorial Day!
