Default Replacement Thinking Helm

Date Posted: 16th Feb 2013 at 10:52 PM

This is George R. R. Martin's fault. I'm re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire, and suddenly it hit me that I needed to do something about the thinking caps in my Westeros 'hood. I mean, a lightbulb, seriously? Can you imagine an Archmaester of the Citadel wear a hat with a lightbulb on it?

So, I made some lightbulb-free thinking helms instead:

Find them on my blog as per usual.

Vulcan Ears for All Ages

Date Posted: 7th Feb 2013 at 11:08 AM

Dominie at SimTrek wanted ears for her Vulcans - proper ears, that angle forward like Spock's. My Vulcan Sims thought this was a logical request... so I made some ears.

About Mesh Updates

Date Posted: 31st Dec 2012 at 10:33 AM

During 2013, I plan on updating all of my old accessory and body meshes.

Most of the meshes I use for my Starfleet uniforms and accessories were made more than five years ago. I’m a better, more confident mesher now (for one thing, I no longer think that fat morphs have to look like shapeless blobs just because most Maxis ones do) and I also have better tools at my disposal. So it’s high time for a mesh overhaul.

The updated meshes will find their way here eventually, but for the time being, you'll find them on my blog.

And even though it isn't quite 2013 yet, I've jumped the gun a little and updated my rank insignia already - they really needed help.

Get them here.

Two Invisible Lamps

Date Posted: 19th Dec 2012 at 9:51 AM

As a storyteller, I sometimes want some extra light in my screenshots - but without having some extra lamps in my screenshots. So I've made a couple of invisible ones.

Find them on my blog, as always.

GAVIK Table Lamp

Date Posted: 29th Nov 2012 at 8:37 PM

I saw this cute little lamp in the IKEA catalogue, and could tell right away that my Sims would want one for Christmas because I do. So I Simmified it.

Find it on my blog.

Slippers!

Date Posted: 12th Nov 2012 at 8:46 PM

My Sims were complaining that their feet were cold (November in Sweden can do that), so to keep them warm I've taken a page from CatOfEvilGenius's book and turned the TSS slippers into accessories for the whole family. (Well, almost - toddlers will have to freeze.)

Find them on my blog.

Look what I made!

Date Posted: 19th May 2012 at 3:31 PM

Lookie! I made perfectly normal clothes! (I can do that, you know. No, really, I can! )

A Sim of mine needed a nightgown, you see. Nothing fancy and certainly nothing with lace and ruffles and little bows and stuff - just a simple, long nightgown with slippers ('cause she's on a starbase and it's very cold... in space). So I made her some.

You can find them on my blog, but I won't be uploading them here. I've decided to keep my MTS uploads (mostly) Star Trek only. You see, when it comes to Trek things, I feel I can fill a void here, but there are already a lot of people here who make normal, present-day clothes, and who do it very well, too. You really don't need me for that.

So, my non-Trek things will primarily be kept at Nixed Sims. But I am still working on Trek stuff, too, of course! My next uniform set will be quite big, though, so it might be a while before it's finished. (A clue: It's sort of related to the quote above.) Stay tuned, as they say!

Woot!

Date Posted: 14th Mar 2012 at 7:25 PM

My animated starship mobile just got picked! This makes me a happy Nix, because I'm very proud of it. (Of course, I would never have been able to make it animated if Echo hadn't written such awesome tutorials, but I get props for being able to follow instructions, right? ) I think there's a starship mobile in every Sim house with kids in my 'hoods. And in a few without kids as well. *cough*self-Sim's*coughcough*

I can haz pick! Wheee!
