I hope it's a city of some sort, even if it's not marked city in the panel. The infinite amounts of suburbs we have now are great, but we have one urban, and one semi-urban (Starlight shores) location.

Time for change.

Yes please, thank you. Aesthetically speaking alone, I find Bridgeport to be the best world they've put out (LP would be second for me). Unfortunately it's a terrible mess to play. IF they have learned from their mistakes in making Bridgeport, I'd love to see them take another stab at building a city world.

I'd work with the base game as well, without a problem. Since the world team opts out of having mixed rabbit holes, having the downtown area with sprawling skyscrapers wouldn't be a problem at all, and we could give BP a proper makeover.

If they wanted to, maybe have an elevator item, trash bin, mailbox and an apartment shell (maybe in a few different colors) released as content to build our own cities. The world would be a hit from content alone. Especially, since most of the shells we have now are mostly one style - Art Deco.

A green city would be interesting. Maybe they could redo some of the items we have now in the game, like the Wind Turbine (for the suburban area), the Solar panels, the Garbage cans (to look like small compost bins). Throw in some modern furniture - not anything themed, but real-based furniture, like few BauHaus things (we need a furniture add on to that build set BTW), some build items to complement sky scrapers and green living, and some urban world decor to fit the green like (like spinning wind turbines and Streetlights with a small solar panel in it).

Nothing futuristic, just modern and green (since EA ignored the theme since AMB, and only touched on it in the story with SHT). I guarantee it'd be an instant hit, since it touches a few bases that fan ask for.

Careful now. That sounds dangerously close to supporting an EP. You know we can't have that.

What about the rumors (survey driven) of the jungle world with the dragons?

LOL!
----------------
That (Dragons) sounds fun in theory, but would we do with it? The dragons are fun to collects, but I'd be worried if they gameplay get old fast, since they'll probably just be doing the game stuff the game can already do. And as cute as they'd be as pets, one has to wonder.

At least the items the give us would get a lot of mileage, unlike the plant and fruit display from Sunlit Tides.

Actually Bauhaus style furniture is kind of abundant in Sims 3:

Looking at just this blog page I see a coffee table from SHT, and the couches and chairs have their counterparts in game as well.

I meant int he store - we have a build set, but no buy set. The only real bauHaus furniture I've seen in via CC. I know I'd love a buy set to compliment the build set.

Like you said, the table is there, but the only chair I've seen comes with the Lucky Simoleon Casino.

I never know what they have in the basegame. Are there elevators? If not, I think an escalator in a city pack would be an excellent PC addition, maybe a walkway also.

As for the dragon world. Yeah, you're right it would get old but... well, can you say "zombie". Most of the Sims is based on humor that can be hysterically funny the first dozen times, then, not so much.

I'd try to set a dragon world up as prime location for my adventurous sims, hope that mods made it possible to sell dragon eggs and set up a dragon blackmarket. They seem a very suitable pet for witches.

I've only seen escalators in 4 place - the mall, the subway, the airport and large amusements parks - we have none of those. If they do give us registers for malls (the most plausible of them all), Escalators would be amazing!!

I can see premium content now in the store - a mall. A register (with the ability to link things to buy from it in the same room), an Escalator and a clothing rack - what you'd buy from it that you don't already have at home, no idea. Maybe it can modify the game code to work like the clothing mod, where it looks all clothing in the game behind the rack, and you can only wear what you own. :D

Also, if they gave us dragons, they'd need to be rare, to increase the allure of them. Like having it be a rare dragon egg spawner or something. Sure, it'd be a pain having to download the content, and then have to wait to use it, but it would mesh naturally into the game since you wouldn't plop them down from buy mode. There would be some chance involved, which is cool. Since it's a spawner, you control where it is.

Sorry I couldn't find a better picture, but that sofa from pets in the back of this pic is bauhaus style.
I'd have nothing against an official Bauhaus furniture set in the store, but there are a lot of store and game furnishings already that are bauhaus, they just aren't labeled as such, and if you aren't familiar with the style, you'd just call them 'modern'.
There's a whole set of sofa and chairs in the base game that are very similar to this bauhaus design:

Similar =/= same.

And it's not abundant in the game. If it was, I wouldn't have made the suggestion. Without the metal pieces, it's not bauHaus, it's just modern modern. Same with the chair from pets. It favors BauHaus, but it's not the defined look (like the chair above, and the image I posted from the store) so it's not the same.

Yes, I can work around the look without a problem, since, like you said, it's similar, I, personally, wouldn't mind a complete set. They did it with castle before (which are murder to use), and BH is waiting. :D

Well, it possible to make furniture in the bauhaus style that isn't an exact replica of an existing bauhaus piece. So, while the pieces I mentioned aren't exact replicas, they are bauhaus style. The pieces I mentioned do actually incorporate metal, but metal is not actually a requirement for a piece to be considered bauhaus.
Check out this site: most of this furniture does use metal, but some are all wood, and all are bauhaus.

I'm not talking about materials, but looks and aesthetics. The angles, the curves, the shapes. None of the stuff on that list is remotely in the game.

Even though the furniture in the game often lends itself to modern, it's hard to have a certain look in a house. A lot of moderns in the Sims 3 looks a like. :/

I think it looks ok, it fits.

I also think an old woman wouldn't be walking around in grass and sand in high heels. (grin)

The keep saying "vacation" in these worlds - at least provide vacation content lol

At the beginning where the list of buyable items was, one of them was massage table. I've played this town a lot just deciding that I'd have a couple households live there and I really like it.

That looks great. I had to remove all custom content from my Big Brother house because I hadn't kept track of the custom content and where I got it (especially the hammock, a necessity) and so I ran the game custom content free so I could replace the custom content and then package it for upload to the exchange and wow, this game would just not be that great without creative people like you and others making houses, items, clothing and even jewelry! There were only about 3 kinds of earrings and no fingernail polish. I just had to apologize to everyone when uploading it saying, sorry, I hadn't meant to share this and didn't keep track of the CC. Your addition makes a gorgeous place even better!

I have to say my enthusiasm for Sunlit Tides has slowly faded over the course of the last days. My actual gaming time was four Sim days but I have now spent two game sessions trying to fix broken lots. The worst is that Hangout on the mountain top, "Relaxation Something", that has two big areas in which Sims can get terminally stuck, and while I tested my futile attempts at fixing these I got continuous two second freezes that indicated that there are more spots in this world with stuck Sims.
And these freezes are worse than the ones in China where this Bermuda Trangle between Temple of Heavens, Dragon Springs and Hot Springs constantly traps Sims, and they are worse because my computer can handle these quite fine while in Sunlit Tides it really freezes for 2-3 seconds.
I also read reports where users found wild horses below ground level and Sims floating through the air and sinking into the ground as if this whole world had Moveobjects on by default.
Then I get route failures of Sims that complain about objects in their way while these objects are not near them or even on the lot . I don't even now where they are. And Sims trying to interact with objects that are not on the lot either, like trying to look at a painting while on a fishing lot. I don't know what's up with that. I've never seen this behaviour before and I started with a fresh user folder and downloaded the world twice and installed it thrice. The Premium items all work, though, and I haven't received any major ErrorTrap errors either, but something is very wrong.

Edit: I almost forgot, there's an update on the status of the broken sauna: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/580965.page

It helps to be a procrastinator. When a new town or EP comes out I play it a long time and also go back to my old favorites so by the time I buy something else that has come out all the bugs have been fixed. I just recently got Sunlit Tides and have had none of the problems you mentioned. And as for having it be difficult to navigate I just put in Phone Booths. There's an area I didn't wait too long because I really wanted to have my Harry Potter family be able to ride brooms and do spells. In fact they live permanently in Sunlit Tides because I just think it's so pretty there. I have a feeling I won't be able to wait for Seasons either. I hope it is as good as Seasons in Sims 2.
