Default How to use the Developer Debug Patch on Sims 1?
I've searched the whole web for this patch, but I couldn't find it. I don't even know if this exists.. What I'm searching for is a patch that allows you to use the Debug cheats (like all_menus, visitor_control), to force a fire, control visitors,. etc., to create machinimas or just for fun.. Sims 1 is a great game to create machinimas! I saw some on YouTube but they got deleted eventually, I don't know why...

The wonderful tutorials at The Secret Society of Woobsha include one called An Introduction to Debug-Objects Mode in The Sims. I haven't tried starting any house fires while using it :-), but you could read what they say about the mode and see if it's what you're looking for.

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

The only patch I know is the Sims Cheats Enabler. It enables all existing cheats in TS1. Here you go -
http://www.simfileshare.net/download/273671/
Though before using it you have to find and apply a NoCD patch, otherwise it won't work.

@Olena Dub, have you used this yourself with no problem? @lelzito, have you tried it? I ask because my computer's protection software -- Malwarebytes Premium -- reported that this file had malware in it.

Here's the report:

I'm using it more than 15 years and never had any problems. This is the first thing I do each time after re-installing TS1 - patching game *.exe file with this prog.

Thanks! Glad to hear it.

Edited to add:

Er, is it supposed to look like THIS? It doesn't seem to DO anything... I clicked the "apply patch" button, but nothing in my game seems different. Is there a command required to activate it? It didn't come with any README or instructions...

Hey, sorry for taking a while to answer! It's all right to use it. This was hosted on a russian site, so, you just need to select your Sims 1 .exe and it should be patched!

Is there a list of debug cheats for Sims 1 anywhere?

There's a file called SimsCheats.xls that comes with it, which lists some cheats, along with a whole bunch of unreadable stuff. :-)

IGN has a list of most of them at https://www.ign.com/wikis/the-sims/PC_Cheats.

The easiest way to get a list of cheats is to bring up the cheat console once the debug patch has been installed, and type "help," which will give you a MUCH longer list than you'd get without the patch. Of course, they aren't explained, but it is at least a list of what to do trial-and-error with. :-)

It looks like this:
