If I lived on Mars, I would be pleased because the Earth is not my cup of tea

Kristofer Maddigan - "Joyous Promenade," from the Cuphead - The Delicious Last Course Original Soundtrack.

Sadly, it ended as I was formatting this post, so, just for Spooky Month, same artist & album:

"An Ominous Stroll"

WARNING: Professional Lurker Alert!
Quote:
"Ew, trees [WooHoo-ing]."

@Wojtek That was amazing, but the lyrics are sad (I got a translation off the web so please correct if wrong!)
The only thing in my head
Is five grams of cocaine, fly away alone
To the edge of oblivion
I have thoughts in my head
When will all this end
Whenever I'm not alone
Because a white eel will fly in

Gulp!

Anyway, I expect you have all heard this track:

But have you heard the song it was sampled from?

I think the Black Box sample is really clever, they got some of the good bits and made a whole new tune out of them. Loleatta Holloway actually sings 'you're right on time' but Black Box interpreted it as 'You ride on time'.

Me and my friend treat this song as a stress reliever. Listening to this shit helps me forget about the stressful job, inflation, war in Ukraine etc.
Anyway, this one is good as well:

@Aspersim Really cool, as you may know I've been a Rush fan for well over 40 years! I saw them perform 'Working Man' many times; they always tried to include that one in their setlist as it was the song which a Cleveland Radio DJ, Donna Halper, started playing on WMMS which really got them known and kick started their career.
I love your radio channel, I remember you talked about it a while back and I gave it a listen. Really good! These days I don't stream much music though; I own so much in physical format as I've been collecting for many years. I have a huge hard drive full of digital music and a massive vinyl, CD and cassette collection, I spend way too much money on it! But I listen everyday, playing vinyl records is something I've done every day since I was a kid.

Check out this band- they met on reddit and recorded all their stuff remotely. Great Math Rock!

The Laughing Policeman - John Lithgow.

Cover of a 100 year old novelty hit from England. The laughter in the the 100 year old version can be kind of unsettling.

Personal Quote: "I like my men like my sodas: tall boys." (Zevia has both 12 and 16 oz options)

(P.S. I'm about 5' (150cm) in height and easily scared)

Ahh, two greats lost this week.

Terry Hall of The Specials:

And writer/ producer Thom Bell, pioneer of the Philadelphia Soul sound and writer of soooo many songs. Including this:
