That's how I felt when I read that!

Me too! I'm letting my big brother play first (I'm starting to regret that decision). I'm going to probably play it for hours at first . We're going to play the same neighborhood so I can get my army of kleptos to go steal from him...

I fall up stairs.

Thanks for all the pics and the info, I love the little improvements such as setting the front door and guests bringing food!

Default Continuing pictures and info....
Continuing...

- Fire pit: sims can sit around it and roast marshmallow or warm themselves:

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l..._jo/firepit.jpg

- Shopping is just (grocery) or (books) and its done by interacting with these interfaces: you can also sell items you have:

*grocery: you can buy according to recipe or individual items:

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l..._jo/grocery.jpg

*books: a lot of books, including skill books:

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l...o/bookstore.jpg

- Sims can use most of items in their inventories outside their houses, like reading a book, or eating grapes for example!

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l...247_jo/read.jpg

- Sims can visit their neighbors and enter their houses :

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l...47_jo/visit.jpg

- One thing that makes me sad, that i can't see the inside of most of the buildings, but they have exciting actions...
Most of them include (attend class(depending on the building) become a partner, and get part time job).

* Theater options:

* Grocery store options:

- Face details:

http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l..._jo/details.jpg

- Accessories panel has glasses, gloves, rings, bracelets, watches, rings, and all kinds of socks!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments on the game:

-It's very exciting because it requires discovering new things, especially things that were not in the sims 2.
It has more details.

- It needs a looooooooot of custom content!!! and expansion packs.

- It takes time to adjust to it, especially for players who used to rely on cheats, hacks, and expansion packs interactions and objects.
There are a lot of interactions and objects missing.
when you play you feel like a lot of things are missing.

(I don't think i'm gonna quit playing sims 2 right now).

- I don't like the look of the sims, i prefer sims 2 looks.

- The ability to go anywhere without the loading screen is fantastic!!!

- The less concentration on sims needs, and how many skill points they need for their jobs, is a relief.

- There are a big variety of reward objects.

- The ability to customize everything(hair, clothes, furniture...) is exciting.

- I don't like the fact that i can't see inside of the buildings, especially restaurants!

- Each trait gives the sim special actions with some objects, and special interactions with other sims.(which is nice)

- Sims don't buy clothes, when you click (plan outfit) it takes you to create a style, and all the clothes available in the game are available to the sim.
sims can have just 3 outfits for each clothing category (you can change them as much as you want). but this does not make sense! you must replace an outfit with a new one!!!
maybe something wrong? maybe im missing something? i don't know!

Could someone post pics of the available hairs? I'm really curious what they have included in the base game, because from what I've seen at the "store" .. they only have 4 styles for the males... from toddler to adult... and that just sucks IMO.

Would appreciate it if someone could do that... thanks...

Peace

Well, love247_jo, thanks for posting a balanced review. While I'm still going to hold out on Sims 3 for a while, it's intriguing to know that one day, possibly, some of the quirks might be toned down or eliminated thanks to free CC creators, and if, just if, I can get the game at a deep discount and it doesn't bork my computer, maybe I might, indeed, consider it one day. I have to admit that there are some nice features to it. I'm still not sure if either computer in my house will handle it, though.

- My sim was pregnant, and when the time came, she got to the hospital and then had the baby,

- After she came out of the hospital, How cute is he!

- You can see the baby's needs:

- And you can give him a bottle without going to the fridge, but do you believe that there is no changing table?!

- While sims are standing normally, there is an option to woohoo(or try for a baby), if you click that, they will kiss and then they will go to the bed and have woohoo , without bothering taking them the to bed, and then choose relax and then woohoo!!

- They are engaged! look at the ring:

- There is no wedding arch!

- No, there is a little bit more, and of course you can change the color of the hair and the hats, to whatever you want

Just wanted to post this shot of the night sky. It is MUCH more detailed in game than this screenshot shows. There are shooting stars and the stars move as if the world is actually rotating. Hopefully this isn't repeat info!

I'm excited too...but then I go to MATY and they say that if you're excited, you are one of the sheeple.

Am I a sheeple?

Are we sheeple?

Sims 3 is just a video game right?

Why did they turn it all into a crazy political statement and by proxy makes me feel bad about wanting to have fun playing a video game?
