This is legacy challenge - Go read the base legacy rules if you don't know them- https://www.simslegacychallenge.com...hallenge-rules/ - that will create a real legacy, involving more than one sims game. The way this challenge works is you start by creating a sim and moving them into a starter home, your sim and the starter home can only use base game content and they must live in base game world (For simplicity I'll start with the sims 4). The way this works is that each generation must complete a certain amount of tasks revolting around an expansion to be a successful generation, if they fail there children will have to repete there parents generation. The tasks for the sims 4 portion are

Generation 1 - Base Game
This sim must reach lv 10 in at least 3 base game skills
This sim must get to lv 10 in 2 base game careers
This sim must live in oasis springs, willow creek or newcrest
This sim must have 200,000 in there account at one point
This sim must complete 2 base game aspirations
Have at least one child

Generation 2 - Get to work
This sim must get to lv 10 in a get to work careers, they must reach lv 5 in the other get to work ones
This sim must own a chain of successful retail stores
This sim must get lv 10 in the baking skill and lv 5 in the photography skill
This sim must go to simax
This sim must live in magnolia promonade
This sim must have a child

Generation 3- Get together
This sim must be the leader of 4 clubs (you can only create one club)
This sim must have a lv 10 dj skill and a lv 5 dancing skill
This sim must become best friends with lord and lady shallot
This sim must live in windenburgh
This sim must have a child

Generation 4- City living
This sim must reach lv 10 of 2 city living careers, and reach lv 5 of the other one
This sim must live in san myshuno
This sim must reach lv 10 in the singing skill
They must complete the city native asperation
They must own all the snowglobes and swag from festivals
They must have a child

Generation 4- Vampires
This sim must become a vampire
This sim must have a lv 10 organ playing and vampire lore skill
This sim must live in forgotten hollow
This sim must complete the vampire rank system
This sim must adopt a child (No vampire babies)

Once the child reaches the young adult stage you move the game to the sims 3, recreating the living sims in the sims 3 (ONLY BASE GAME)(Supernatural sims are no longer supernatural) build a base game house using the funds your family had in the last game. This section in the game is the same in the sims 4, your generation must complete a certain amount of tasks revolting around an expansion to be a successful generation, if they fail there children will have to repete there parents generation. Here are the sims 3 tasks

Generation 5- Base Game
This sim must reach lv 10 in at least 3 base game skills
This sim must get to lv 10 in 2 base game careers
This sim must live in sunset vally
This sim must have 200,000 in there account at one point
This sim must complete 2 base game life time wishes
This sim must have at least one child

Generation 6 - World Adventures
This sim must have a lv 3 visa in each destination
This sim must get to lv 10 in two world adventure skills, and get to lv 5 in the other skill
This sim must own a vacation home in one destination
This sim must live in sunset valley
This sim must achieve the private museum lifetime wish
This sim must have one child

Generation 7 - Ambitions
This sim must reach lv 10 in a Ambitions careers, and a lv 5 in the other ones
This sim must get a lv 10 in one new skill, and have lv 5 in the other two
This sim must live in Twinbrooke
This sim must make over 30,000 from the work at home career
This sim must complete the Descendant of da Vinci or Possession is Nine Tenths of the Law
This sim must have one child

Generation 8 - Late Night
This sim must reach lv 10 in the actor career
This sim must have a butler
This sim must become a celebrity
This sim must live in a penthouse
This sim must become a vampire
This sim must live in bridgeport
This sim must adopt a child

Generation 9 - Generations
This sim is sick of the family legacy
This sim must have a "normal" Life
This sim Must live in eather Twinbrook, Bridgeport, Sunset valley, Barnical bay, Riverview
This sim must have two kids (One girl, One boy)

Generation 10 - Pets
This sim must own, at least 4 cats, 5 dogs and 2 horses (They don't have to be alive at the same time)
This sim must be lv 10 in the riding skill
This sim must live in appaloosa plains
This sim must get a unicorn
This sim must adopt 3 strays (don't count as any of the 4 cats, 5 dogs or 2 horses)
This sim must have a child

Generation 11 - Showtime
This sim must reach lv 10 in the three Showtime careers
This sim must live in starlight shores
This sim must reach lv 10 in the dj skill
This sim must perform live 15 times
This sim must have a child

Generation 12 - Supernatural
This sim must be supernatural (Exclude vampire)
This sim must be lv 10 fortune teller
This sim must live in midnight hollow
This sim must have a lv 10 alchemy skill
This sim must have a supernatural spouse
This sim must be friends with bonehilda
This sim must adopt a child

Generation 13 - Seasons
This sim must have seasons on
This sim must partake in festivals
This sim must have lv 10 soccer and snowboarding
This sim must live in a unlocked world*
This sim must have a child


Generation 14 - University life
This sim must have three degrees
This sim must reach lv 10 in all three socal group
This sim must reach lv 10 in one University skill, and reach lv 5 in two University skills
This sim must live in a unlocked world*
This sim must reach lv 10 in new career
This sim must have a child

Generation 15 - island paradise
This sim must own a resort
This sim must live in a house boat
This sim must reach lv 10 in the diving skill
This sim must become a mermaid
This sim must reach lv 10 in the lifeguard career
This sim must Adopt a child

Generation 16 - Into the Future
This sim must travel through time
This sim must get to lv 10 in a into the future skill and reach lv 5 in the other two
This sim must get to lv 10 in a into the future career and reach lv 5 in another one
This sim must build a sentient plumbob

You could continue this into the sims 2 but i don't play that game enough to write a section on that game, you'll just have to go through the same process as you did transferring into the sims 3. You can play this in any order, I prefer playing sims 3 -> sims 4 because I can continue to play this challenge when the next expansion comes out.

*Unlocking content
Your sims unlock content when the next generation is born, this means that after your 1st generation gives birth you can use content from outdoor retreat and get to work, when the 2nd generation is born you can use content from outdoor retreat, get to work, perfect patio, luxury party, cool kitchen, spa day, spooky stuff and get together, ect. This also goes for lot types, interactions, worlds and In game events (seasons are turned off until the seasons generation, you sim has to decline events at the bluffs or ruins until get together generation, ect)

No CC (Please don't use this on your sims/homes)
If an hier dies, you can reproduce/ adopt to replace
You can take out generations, if you find them boring or don't have that pack
You can skip the sims 4/sims 3 section if you don't have that game
