Probably CC hair with something non-standard in it. You know the drill by now. Please upload your save game and the sim troubleshooting info, or at least the hair package.

Hello, I downloaded the newest version of the ripper today, and it doesn't work. (I'm not new to this program, I've been it's user for quite some time now.) Any help would be appreciated.

1. When I start the program, it gives me the following pop-up: "Can't find game packages! Please go to File / Change Settings and correct the game packages path or make it blank to reset, then restart." The paths are all set as the examples.

2. When I try to load a Sim, the 'working' part immediately goes away and nothing loads in. That happens both with Sims that have CC and base game (no CC or game/expansion pack) Sims. When I go to 'Save Sim Troubleshooting Info, it says: "No CC packages used on this sim! Try the information and error listings." The error list is filled with these:

Can't find DeformerMap 0xDB43E069-0x00000000-0x94E49A3343D940E1
Can't find DeformerMap 0xDB43E069-0x00000000-0xFDFD1B1266FEE356
Can't find Hair CASP 0x034AEECB-0x00000000-0x0000000000017C36
Can't find Head CASP 0x034AEECB-0x00000000-0x0000000000001B41
Can't find Face CASP 0x034AEECB-0x00000000-0x0000000000024237

etc.

And the information listing looks like this:

Name: Yuki Behr
Household: Behr, World: Windenburg
Age: Teen
Gender: Female / Frame: Female
Pregnant: False
Skintone: 000000000000AFC5 (Not Found)
Body_Heavy: 0.000
Body_Fit: 0.105
Body_Lean: 0.227
Body_Bony: 0.000
Body_Pregnant: 0.000

3. I got an error pop-up that said: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

And the details are as following:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

If it can't find the game packages it's not going to work. Please double check the paths in the settings. If that doesn't help, please post screenshots of the installed game packages folder showing the full path and of your settings, showing the full path. Since this happened with a change to the latest version, also try making SimRipper and its folder an exception in your antivirus.

Please do not PM me with mod, tutorial, or general modding questions or problems; post them in the thread for the mod or tutorial or post them in the appropriate forum.

Thanks, I played around with paths and managed to fix it.

I had a problem with 3.6.0.0 version. For example, i have a couple of sims: sim 1, sim 2, sim 3 and sim X. Sim 1,2 and 3 can open normally, but during loading sim X error suddenly appear. So i decided to download version 3.7.0.0. Error message gone, but sim X still won't load. After 10-15 minutes my laptop starts lagging. In "task manager" shows me, the program use almost 100% of memory and a lot of disk. I try wait for that, but after 1hour sim still can't open... I don't know why. In game, i tried delete additional clothes, change outfit, but the program still can't load this sim. Maybe i did something wrong?

Ok, i have news.

I don't know, but error can't appear since i have version 3.7.0.0.

So i tried everythig with this sim. Changing clothes, hair, leaving him half naked, copying clothes form other sim, copying him clothes to other sim (other sim can be loadable in ripper). But it doesn't work. This sim exists since 2017 year. So i decided to create new sim from old one (previously i tried create new sim from that new one and modify him), and well... finally works. I don't know why. Maybe something happend with the sim during gameplay? Interesting...

Very strange! It's possible the sim got corrupted somehow, I guess. If he's using only EA stuff and you upload your save game I'd be curious to take a look. Also you could just run v3.6 to get the error message. If you deleted it I'll upload it for you.

Default Can't Rip Cat
Hello.

I take it this ripper should've been able to rip the animals?? I tried to rip a cat today, but there's an error message popped up, and I can't continue. Well, I can click "continue" on the pop up, but nothing's happen. I uploaded the error message below and also my save game.

Please note that I don't have any CC in this save game.

The cat rips fine on my system.

It can't find anything from EP04, Cats & Dogs. If you don't own EP04 you can't rip pets. If you do, your game files appear to be missing or corrupted.

Default Sim Won't Appear in TS4Ripper
Hello, I can't seem to find my sim at all in my save file (In TS4 Ripper) , but everyone else in his household is there. I updated The Sims 4 and got the latest version of TS4 Ripper, but that didn't work either. I can't find a solution to this at all and am stuck on how to get him to appear. And I do use CC in my game, but I'm not sure if that's the issue or not.

Hello! I tried to open the Sim Ripper 3.7.0.0 but the application opened with 'Can't find game/ user files. Do you want to set them manually?'. I tried to set it manually but however, the settings never pop-up even after hours of opening it. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the application but it still doesn't work. I checked if that came from the game packages that I installed not compatible the Sim Ripper but the same issue happened. The last time I did with 3.7.0.0 Simripper, I tried to import a mermaid sim numerous but it took a long time for the Sim Ripper to open.

All I can tell you is that if your sim is in the save game it should show up. Make sure you're looking under the sim's name, not the household name, if the sim has a different last name.

Overlay skindetails are not appeared in the app also in Blender
Thank you for making this app.
I have problems exporting my overlay skin details with my sims faces. They are too faint that I can't see them clearly.
Definitely, they look different from the original game.
Would you fix the problem to be seen more clear?

I used these overlays with some of the EA wrinkles that are in the skin details sections.
They are well blended in the game, both in CAS and actual plays.

Hi! I just have a quick question, does the new ripper support the LRLE textures? I've avoided using the sliders on any makeup because it would always revert back to the original color in Sim Ripper

It supports the LRLE format but not the sliders, yet.

This appeared after I saved my rig as a dae and I see dae in my folder but there's no texture image inside it. Any ideas?

This is a known problem on some systems, I don't know the cause. Try saving the textures to another folder.

Hi!
The mod works flawlessly except for one thing. I'm using this mod: https://modthesims.info/d/588257/po...d-all-ages.html to get pointy ear presets and sliders for my non-witches and human forms of mermaids. When I load sims' using these ear presets the ears don't show up pointed, but rather... comically large and rounded. The Ripper isn't giving me any error listings either. I should note I can see pointed ears on the actual mermaid form and vampire form of sims' but not on their human form. Could you look into this or do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

In the future, could the sim be saved to PMD / PMX format to convert it into a MikuMikuDance model? (MMD)
