I just started making my own CCs since yesterday. My first creation worked just fine (a top), but second one did not worked out as you can see below:



(it blends in with clothes, as well as with nude body itself)

This is what it was supposed to look like:


I made it with YT tutorial (specifically for upper clothing),

I used Marvelous Designer and Blender (v2.79, v2.70)
Used nude mesh and strapless bra mesh exported from S4Studio



I assume it has to do something with length, but that is only my guess.
Preferably I would like to use it as a top, not as full body item.

Feels like this glitch is caused by your preference to use it as top. Once you treat it as top, it is not garanteed to match all bottom parts available.

To match your dress with jeans shorts you can try to enlarge hip size and dress length enough to cover it. But there might be laarge hips and loong dress. There will be another dress already with possibility to clip through another bottom mesh.
