The Issa bed reminds me a bit of the cheap single bed from TS1.

Why is this making my game crash? ]: Is there a different base-game only set? I thought these were those.

When does the game crash? Which bed are you using when the crash happens, and what are you doing with it? Which EPs do you have? Did you make sure to delete all of the pets files, leaving only the basegame files?

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

This bed doesn't work. It makes the Sims 2 crash. It crashes at the loading screen (before neighborhood selector).

Which one? Which EP(s) do you have? Have you tried just the beds, without any other CC installed (just as a temporary test, ofc)? I've been using these with no problems since I made them, so it must be something specific to your game.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

I wanted to download 'Le Curve'. I did so, put it in my game and got the 'The game has crashed. The application will now terminate.' error on startup. After (unfortunately) deleting the bed files I found that the bed was the problem.
Shame, though. They are beautiful beds. I would've loved to use them in my game.

(I have Double Deluxe and University... just so you know)

Was it the mesh file that caused the problem, or one of the recolours? Could you run the DDO on your Downloads folder and see if it shows up anything as conflicting with the beds?

Wow, those are great! You really do have a point about the beds that come with the game looking like they came out of a junk bin. I never thought about it that way before, but you're right.
