If you watched the video, you see similar complaints with this new edition of FIFA has the same issues that are happening with TS4. They're pushing this stuff out the door broken, then saying 'sorry' when they're called out on it. How many times can they say sorry ( this happens yearly for FIFA) before people stop believing it? EA cries wolf all.the.time.

How hard is it to screw up FIFA? It is the same game every year where with new jerseys and maybe a few changes. This is EA's golden goose that has made EA billions. If you want to defend them, go ahead, but FIFA players like sims players need to stop buying broken games.

Is there a single viable new EA title at this point?

It feels like they're going by inertia now.

If it's the same game, I dont understand why people buy one every year. It's soccer, the rules are the same all the time. What am I missing?

That one's easy. Two simple words - updated rosters. That's literally the reason that people will shell out $60 a year for basically the exact same game.

I don't understand it either, but I'm not big on sports anyway.

You have been chosen. They will come soon.

Yeah it's pretty much the same reason people keep buying Call of Duty Games that are only good for about a year. I'll never get it.

Probably are completionists and those Who don't be left out as they're not cool for not playing latest sequal. Alias, don't know much or invested apart from maybe trying out one game (was a shooter, don't know if it exactly was that)

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

It looks like Fortnite is having problems too. Their players are getting too good and newbies don't feel welcome. That's bad for sales so Epic are introducing imaginary players to put newbies on a level playing field. Their players are getting a bit annoyed these days.

That's one thing about Sims 4, it's so simple that a child of 13 can play it.

I'm not even gonna begin descrbing the tutorial that's given for newbies in TS4. Then again, I shouldn't be judging because, maybe, it's actually effective and had help many newcomers to jump in to the gameplay. Though at the same time, why it even needs one? TS4 already seems easy to jump in and learn out of all (not that I'm complaining, but Į can applaud) four games. Well, whatever, its not something I feel strongly about anyway.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

Carmen King shades The Sims 4 and lists her Sims 5 wishlist:

And then The Sims 4 we have clay... we have clay people. [...] We also don't got cars [...] We don't got open world, we don't got Create-a-Style, we don't got Create a World. We didn't even have toddlers or pools until years after the release. Basically I believe that The Sims 4 was just a fever dream. And as soon as The Sims 5 comes out, I'm planning on digging her grave and retiring her.

So if they had a Create-A-Sim, they wouldn't have to buy it every year? Seriously, this seems a colossal waste of money. They still play the same game with different fake faces.

Not exactly. The point of FIFA is playing in a virtual casino. If a person wants the most popular player or have the best team, a player has to gamble for it by means of buying card packs. This is how FIFA has made so much money for EA as a person can literally spend thousands of dollars and never get the player or the team they want.

I've never played FIFA so I don't know if people can grind for 'the best players' but if they can and it is like any other game where grind is optional, to get a team member of choice, a person would probably have to spend hours equal to a full time job with no guarantee that they'd get said team member. If somebody knows exactly how this works, by all means, chime in.

So when people say that FIFA is only $60.00, most don't talk about all the other cash spent so people might get what they want from the game.

I thought we established long along that less familiar players should only play with less familiar players to keep games interesting and fair. Have we abandoned this? I thought we solved this issue?

Idk. Šome here brought great point how players aš a society have a stigma to either keep up with the trends to stay relevant or suffer being left out and rejected. Probably iš part in the reason why Apple has so much success selling iPhone products. And regarding the sims, this could very tie in with the 'products failure - > overly-attached consumers define themselves aš losers' study aš Deserved kept mentioning that explained the portion of divided simming community. Actually, I'm probably lying: it's not awful lot of those players that stay in TS4 to be cool. Seen one from one responder, but it's pretty rare. Kind of nevermind. Oh, we were first talking about COD. Well then idk nor know what kind of community is in their fanbase.

This can be applied to anything which is why companies like to have Yibs in the case of sims or 'influencers' for everything else around. FOMO or Fear of Missing Out is not limited to video games.

Influencer: If you use this product on your face, you'll never have wrinkles sez the person in their mid-30's that keeps having lip injections and or botox. Gravity, time and genetics don't give a flying fig about lotions and potions.

Influencer: Hey! This new IPhone is really cool; look at all the things it does. If a person were to read the actual stats, it's the same phone with a new and more expensive price tag. Never mind the fact that Apple hasn't had a original idea since St.Swithens Day. <--- Not a actual holiday.

Bringing this back to EA; there is a reason Yibs talk about how great a pack is until roughly 2 weeks later. They are doing the same thing that all the other "Yibs" do for other games. They hype a pack, selectively edit their videos if they come across a bug that the viewer would notice and or avoid game play entirely in the case of sims because focusing only on CAS and or build items allows them to sleep at night. Doing this earns them praise from their fake friends at EA, then when sales start to slow after all of the fake hype, the videos start rolling out regarding problems with said pack.

EA is a creature of habit with the things they do; massive sell offs of stock before they have to report their quarterly financials so they will get praise from their Wall Street overlords even when physical sales suck. The Wall Street overlords also have a agenda; the more a stock broker sells, the more of a commission they get.

The funny part about all of this is, these people really think everybody is so stupid that they don't notice these trends and or habits. Understanding these things and seeing them doesn't require one to be overly invested; all one has to do is watch and pay attention when it is warranted. It is all a house of cards and it shows in the numbers of views videos get.

There are Yibs within the sims community who on the surface talk like they have all the influence in the world, but when a YT channel has a couple hundred thousand subs and videos only get a a thousand or so views, it is essentially a dead channel. What these people say and what is reality are two completely different animals. There must be a whole lot of ads on said vids because I don't understand how else these people can feed and house themselves otherwise, never mind flitting off to things like Pax, TwitchCon, ect... while lecturing the masses about saving the planet of course; because airplanes apparently don't count when it comes to carbon emissions.

If everybody had a big, red "NOPE!" button on their desk, table, laptop, whatever... for every video they watched where people were trying to sell something and were doing a really bad job at it, things would be a lot more fun and less predictable.

EA is a bunch of rookies when it comes to adding slot machines to their games. They're still trying to pretend, while Take Two is all up in a players face about it beyond GTA.

It's not gambling, they're surprise mechanics with the sellout YouTuber to peddle the game to small children!

Andrew Wilson along with a number of CEOs of AAA gaming companies sit on the board of the ESRB. Knowing that, it should come as no surprise to anybody that EA and their ilk hide behind stupid things like "surprise mechanics".

EA's Worst Ripoff Yet Is FIFA 20 Switch, A Barebones Copy/Paste FIFA 19 Clone Sold At Full Price

Is anybody surprised at this point that EA is recycling content while demanding full price for it? It is almost as if this trend is being applied across all of their games. Who would have thunk it...

EDIT:

EA -1.3% as KeyBanc fades season 2 of 'Apex Legends'

Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:EA) is off 1.3% premarket after KeyBanc proclaims Apex Legends Season 2 a disappointment.

The beginning of the year meant lots of praise for EA's battle-royale game (and a stock rebound for EA).

But Season 2, which launched July 2, "was expected to be much more significant in terms of quality content and interest," says KeyBanc's Tyler Parker.

Parker says players are reverting to other offerings -- Epic's Fortnite is still robust and dominating the genre -- and now sees annual sales for Apex Legends at $275M vs. a previous estimate for $365M.

Parker's cutting revenue and profit estimates and thinks Street expectations for next year look aggressive without another game to help hit them.
