Yes, it still sparkles, but only if a sim with high enough Tinkering skill upgrades it first.
As far as I know, that's how the original should work as well.

Shouldn't need an update to 1.42. Has something changed I am unaware of? Have you actually tried it in your game yet?

Okay, finally got my game updated to Seasons/1.42 and I can confirm that this still functions with NO issues. The new Outwear catagory correctly shows up without issue.
No update is required.

It needs a update, for sure. Its seems there is a big bug affecting all non-english installed games. Then you go in for a makeover, your clothes tabs dosent expand as the do if you do the makeup or hair.

I have a Danish version of The Sims 3 installed, and I cannot use the clothes menu in a makeover, and a few google´s it seems that many other non-english players cant get there menu to expand too.

Other then that, this works just like the big standard one, and I have all SP and EP installed, so I have basegame version 1.50 :P

I'm sorry to say, NumSimlish, but if it is an issue that also affects the EA original then there is nothing I can do about it. My smaller version uses the same code as the big version but I didn't change anything about the Makeover code and I wouldn't know how. My game is in English so I have never noticed anything wrong. It sounds as if you will have to wait for EA to fix it. Sorry.
