Default Bad Blood Challenge
Bad Blood Challenge
(Hello I’m actually new here *waves* I’ve always read stuff on the forum but I’ve never posted anything.) Lately I’m kind of bored with Sims 4 because I ran out of things to do and I can’t really find any challenges that interest me. So I ended up drawing inspiration here and there and made this challenge. It’s a…very long challenge tbh and there’s plenty things to do in one gen. I try to make up a story as coherent as possible and they’re kind of locked together but do feel free to break a few rules or skip a few gens if you want. And it’s a pretty dark challenge, as you can tell from the title. Enjoy yourselves and happy simming ; )

Prologue
Two households, both alike in dignity
(In fair Willow Creek/Oasis Springs/Newcrest, where we lay our scene),
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-crossed lovers join for life,
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Doth with their union kindle their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-marked love
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children’s end, naught could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage—
The which, if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

(*cough cough* just so you know, I’m not from Shakespeare’s age, so any mistake is all mine)

Introduction
In the beautiful city of Willow Creek/ Oasis Springs / Newcrest, where our story takes place, a long-standing hatred between two prominent houses erupts into new violence, and citizens stain their hands with the blood of their fellow citizens. Two unlucky children of these enemy families fall in love. Defying their families, the star-crossed lovers marry in spite of the volatile opposition. It follows a series of events that will keep them apart. Their union has brought no peace to the family but war that will asunder it. Their love is born to die, doomed to end in tragedy. It is a match that even the gods would forbid, for the bad blood between their families runs deep in their veins and can only be stopped by the death of their children.

Goal of Challenge
- You, a brave daughter/son of the noble house of _____ does not believe in fate or curses, the goal is simple: Prove the stars wrong, and purify the bad blood.

General Rules
- HAVE FUN! That’s the most important thing
- Lifespan is up to you but I recommend normal or long
- The heir must never move out
- Spares must move out upon reaching young adulthood
- No moving to another lot is allowed after you have chosen
- Should an unfortunate incident occur (death, fire, etc.) , you can’t reload the game
- No aging up before a Sim’s birthday, babies too
- Spouses can be pre-made by you but you can’t add them until marriage
- Keep all graves on the lot
- You’re going to need the moved out relatives in gen 7 so it’s best that you give a little progression to them from time to time. Or what I would recommend is what I’d like to call the story progression mod.
- Even though this challenge kind of mirrors the royal kingdom challenge a bit but the historical background is really up to you, it doesn’t have to medieval or a historical thing
- Money cheats are generally ok, as money is not very much the focus
- Mods are okay too as long as you follow the guidelines. In fact I do encourage you to use mods as it adds more complexity and layers to the gameplay

Recommended Mods
- Mischief MDK with Handbuzzers by Shimrod101
- Debug script mod by clown (Allow debug cheats, for murder and skills cheat in gen 7, very useful)
- MC Command Center (The Story Progression Mod) by Deaderpool
- No more Culling by Dark Gaia (Avoid ghosts being removed from the lot)
- Door Locks for TS4 by Scumbumbo (for the
- Same Sex Pregnancy by Aren if you want your gay couples to have babies
Well these are of course just recommendations, you can still play without them but they really come in handy. You can always go old-fashioned and kill your sims off by fire or starve them and for skills you can always use cheats

House
- Nothing special, you just need a basement so you can lock sims in
- Build a graveyard to settle the tombstones

Coronation
- The Supreme is the head of the family. At coronation, the heir will be crowned as Supreme by receiving an heirloom of the family that distinguishes him/her from the rest of the family. Normally, it happens when the heir reaches young adulthood. To complete this ritual, host a party. All immediate blood relations must attend. If the situation allows, you may also invite friends. After you’ve thanked all the guests for coming, you can change your heir’s outfit and put on the heirloom.

Heir Law
- Only blood-related Sims can be heir
- Children born out of wedlock can’t be heir
- You are free to choose the heir in any way you want
- The Supreme is free to remarry if he or she divorces or the spouse dies
- After a divorce, children from previous marriage(s) are still up for the consideration of heir apparent
- In case which the heir dies before young adulthood or a supreme has no heir apparent by death, the next-in-line spare will replace him or her as heir
- The heir apparent can only become Supreme upon the last Supremes’ death

- Usurping titles: Titles, however, can be stripped away in a special circumstance. A spare can compete for the title by fighting with the Supreme once he or she has reached young adulthood. Roll a dice before the fight, if the number is odd, the loser lives; if the number is even, the loser dies. The winner becomes the Supreme. The same thing happens if a Supreme loses his or her title and wishes to gain it back. Usurping can happen for unlimited times as long as the challenger is alive, and the Supreme is a young adult or has no legitimate born children.

The Founding Families
1. Start off by creating two separate households, each with an adult couple, choose the family names wisely, you can’t change them after you’ve chosen
2. *Create your young adult heirs for these households, give them siblings if you wish
3. Give both of the heirs a special accessory (a necklace/earring...), they will be the heirloom of that family (It’s best they have different heirlooms, so you can have one for a girl and one for the boy)
4. Both families must have the Self-Assured trait
5. Give them one set of opposite traits
Choose from the following:
(Good vs Evil / Mean,
Loner vs Outgoing,
Family Oriented vs Noncommittal /Hates Children
Cheerful/ Hot-Headed vs Gloomy
If you have outdoor retreat: Squeamish vs Loves the Outdoors)

6. The third trait for the two heirs must be Romantic, their aspirations and families’ third traits are up to you though
7. Make the families rich with money cheats, settle them in mansions if you want
8. This step is very important! Choose the family you’re going to play, choose wisely because you can’t switch it once you’ve chosen, you have to bear with it for the rest of the generations
9. Make all the members of the two families enemies, except for the two heirs, they don’t have to be enemies with other family members

- In the following I will refer the heir of the family that you will be playing as Heir A, and the enemy’s heir as Heir B. Coronation is not required in generation I.

- *Like I said, this challenge isn’t historic-specific, so same-sex relations and marriages are a-okay. The heirs can be a boy and a girl/ a girl and girl / a boy and boy, anything you like

Generation I: Law of Attraction – Opposites Attract
1. Host a party at night
2. Invite your enemies
3. Heir A meets Heir B
4. Flirt until the option ‘First Kiss’ is available
5. Don’t kiss, go on a date in seclusion, must be alone and at night
6. First Kiss
7. Try For Baby
8. Propose
9. Elope immediately
10. Settle them in a new household

- Heir A and B must reach the top of one set of the following careers:
Criminal / Secret Agent vs Detective / Business
Astronaut/ Scientist / Doctor vs Writer / Painter
Athlete / Entertainer vs Culinary / Tech Guru
- Select the traits and aspirations for heir apparent beforehand, you can’t choose the trait Active or the bodybuilder aspiration because she is frail. Choose Squeamish as one of her traits if you have Outdoor Retreat
- Have 3 children, at least 1 of them has to be a girl because the next Supreme must be female. You can’t influence the gender of babies, keep trying until a girl is born.

Generation II: Law of Repulsion – Likes Repel
The Supreme is a jealous, skeptical person with a weak constitution. Pregnant with her first child, she had a strange dream. She saw a child of hers, with the same hair color as hers, a knife in hand, ready to slit her throat with it. However, she only managed to catch a glimpse of the child before she woke up with a start.
- The Supreme must marry someone with a different hair color at YA
- Have 5 children (alive and well)
- All children must have the 2 traits in common with the Supreme
- Select aspiration of heir apparent beforehand if you aren’t using the firstborn law
- Any child born with the same hair color as the Supreme must die when they are children
- All siblings who share the same eye color with the Supreme become enemies with the heir apparent in childhood/ teen if the heir apparent is not yet born at the time
- All children must have the same aspirations as the heir apparent (child and teen) and the Supreme (YA +)
- After the birth of the last child, the Supremes’ health deteriorates sharply. The heir apparent is selected at a young age but will not be coroneted until teen.
- Children with same eye color as the Supreme must become rebels when they become teens
- The Supreme dies, the heir apparent inherits the title at teen
- At coronation, the rebels arrive, disrupting the ceremony. The heir must fight the rebels to secure his/her position. The heir will issue a challenge to the eldest of the rebelling siblings, he/she will be the leader of the rebels.

- If the heir wins, roll a dice after the fight.
- Odd number: The rebels get to stay alive but will receive a life sentence. They are to be imprisoned in the basement of the house. (If the household gets too crowded, you can exile them by splitting the household and arrange them to ‘played households’ in ‘manage households’, but don’t move them into a lot)
- Even number: The rebels are to be executed (If there are children who have the same eye color as the deceased Supreme but aren’t teens yet, they are exempted from execution or any kind of punishment at the moment. However, when they age up to teen, they will and must face the same fate as the other rebels)
- If the rebel leader wins, the heir is overthrown and killed by the rebels. The coronation carries on, the leader of the rebels will be crowned as heir instead.

Generation III: La Belle Dame sans Merci
With determination and strength, you have vanquished your rivals. Now that all threats are gone, you are free to take things slow. You have the world at your fingertips. You live a lavish, comfortable life. You married the most beautiful person in the world. You have a perfect child. Your social life is impeccable, everybody loves to come to your party. You almost feel dizzy from all this perfection. But everything shatters when you find your wife/husband gone in the morning. Your spouse has abandoned you and your child. You, heartbroken and devastated, still believe that one day he/she will come back.
- Marry a beautiful YA lady/man
- Have one child
- You may not choose the following traits for your child : cheerful, goofball, romantic, childish, clumsy
- Your child must have a best friend

- Never divorce (you still believe he/she will be back!)
- Keep on hosting parties until you become an elder
- You may never seek out your spouse, you can’t invite him/her to travel/visit him/her/go on a date/hang out/send love emails/chat on computer, not unless he/she seeks you out first. Your child may not reach him/her until young adulthood either.

Generation IV: A Deal with the Devil
The Supreme died of a broken heart. Now you must pick up the pieces and carry on. The abandonment of your father/mother has left a gaping hole in your heart that will never heal. You still remember how much the Supreme loved your father/mother and you aspired to marry someone like that in the future. Your fantasy of a happily ever after is crushed and you no longer believe in true love. You never understood why your father/mother left you. To gain the power you need, you must kill the one you love most and trade its heart with the devil. Now you’re on the highway to hell, and you’re not stopping until you can find your mother/father.
- No coronation
- Denounce any friendship you have
- Kill your best friend and become friends with the grim reaper

- Never become friends with your children. Ruin the relationships by being mean to them but don’t become enemies
- Don’t die of old age (death happens only after the heir apparent reaches 10 mischief skill)

Generation V: Find what you love and let it kill you
They knew you were the black sheep of the family from the moment you were born. They knew your darkness would destroy them all. So they locked you up in the basement. You never saw the light of day, the only thing you knew was darkness. The Supreme is dead, coronation will happen soon and your siblings plan to execute you. Your know your chance for escape and retribution is here.
- Coronation of the next-in-line spare will take place two weeks after the Supremes’ death, the two Sundays will be your golden opportunity to escape and final chance to sharpen your skills.
- Roll a dice when your family comes to visit. If you haven’t mastered the mischief skill, you can escape if you roll 3 or 6, otherwise you fail. If you have, your escape will be successful as long as you roll odd numbers, otherwise you fail.
- If you fail to succeed in escaping, you will be executed and the spare will become Supreme
- If you succeed in escaping, attend the coronation. Lock all the siblings up while the ceremony continues. After the coronation, burn them.
- Kidnap and murder at will
- Complete the Public Enemy aspiration
- Kidnap someone you find attractive and make him/her your spouse until death
- You can have as many children as you like
- At adult, your wife/husband betrays you by murdering you in your sleep. He/ she raises the child(ren) alone.

Generation VI: Long is the way and hard, that out of Hell leads up to light.
Your father/mother alone raised you, with good virtues in mind. The late Supreme was a misunderstood but terrible person. To rectify his/her mistakes, you’re raised strictly under your mother/father’s scrutiny, so that you would never turn out to be evil. The road to redemption proved to be a difficult one, you worked hard while your siblings and friends played. But you understood that this must be done and this is how it must be done.
- Master two of the following skills by teen: Creativity skill/Mental Skill/Social Skill
- Master Logic Skill, Charisma Skill and one of the following skills: Writing/Painting/Piano/Violin by young adulthood
- Donate to charity on computer every week
- Rectify the Supremes’ mistakes by becoming friends with all the Supremes’ enemies (if they’re still alive), if they aren’t alive, be friends with their family/spouse(and if they aren’t alive either, lucky you)
- You must marry someone with the good trait
- Visit distant relations and invite them over dinner
- Have 7 children, all of them must be the same gender, otherwise you fail the challenge
- You can influence the babies’ gender by eating strawberries and listening to pop music for girls, and eating carrots and listening to alternative music for boys, but you can’t use mods to manipulate the gender.
- move out YA children when they age up

Generation VII: Do not go gentle into that good night
A lethal plague stalks the streets of Sims Nation, threatening to eradicate its population. No matter how hard you’ve prayed, no one seems to be listening. One after another, all of your siblings’ lives’ are taken away by this disease. Now, your parents. You are the last of your family. In your father/mother’s deathbed, his/her last words are, “Seventh of the Seventh, keep our blood pure.” Since you’re a child, you’ve heard of the powers of the seventh child. Infused with both darkness and light, you possess great power and are meant to do great deeds.
- All siblings die, including the ones that have moved out
- Parents die
- Marry a distant relative (seventh cousin?)
- Host wedding party and coronation together
- As you are the seventh of the seventh, the power of mischief is within you. Mischief mastered.(cheat)
- As you are the seventh of the seventh, the power of speech is within you. Charisma mastered.(cheat)
- Have more than one child
- Reach the third milestone of either The Curator aspiration or Outdoor Enthusiast by elder (you don’t have to complete the whole thing)
- Visit Sylvan Glade and Forgotten Grotto (no handiness cheat!)
- When you reach the last 2 days of Adulthood, buy a spaceship and start building it (Buy Mode > Objects by Room > Outdoors > Outdoor Activities > Steampunk Flyamajig)
- Once you’ve successfully built it, wait until you’re elder to fly
- The only way for the Supreme to die is either the spaceship crashes and he or she dies by fire / elder exhaustion / drowning

Generation VIII: Out of the ash, I rise with my red hair
As a child, you’ve always loved hearing about your father/mother’s stories of wild adventures. You’ve always wanted your own adventures too. As a writer, you find your life boring. You are in a constant search for inspiration and stimulation. Maybe a more…alternative kind of stimulation
- (it’s ok if you don’t have red hair)
- Marry an alien or an outlandish sim (blue/green skin)
- Have as many children as you wish
- Woohoo with ghost(s)
- Go to nightclub/bars/museum/library every week, flirt and woohoo with sims (it must a different sim every time you repeat this)
- You can only write a book after you’ve woohooed with a sim(for the inspiration)
- Repeat until you complete the Bestselling Author aspiration
- Write the book of life for your spouse
- Stage your spouse death (optional)
- Resurrect your spouse
So that’s it, congratulations! You’ve reached the close of this challenge. You’ve successfully purified the bad blood of your family!

I haven’t fully tested the challenge myself so if you find anything that’s unplayable or too hard, please let me know and I’ll make adjustments

Feel free to give me feedback and post pictures here if you’re doing the challenge. : ) there isn’t a scoring system for the challenge because I personally don’t feel very strongly about it. Technically you don’t lose or win in this challenge, so even if you fail to fulfill some requirements, it’s perfectly fine. You can still carry on with the challenge.
