Default Lovebirds are EXPECTING!
Mama Lovebird laid three eggs and I candled them the other day. Two of them have blood vessels in them and they are already pumping blood! That's so cool! Looks like we have two baby lovebirds on the way!

How do you candle them and is that to see what's inside?

I candled them with a flashlight, and yes, that is to see what's inside. It was so cool to see the blood vessels and know that yes, a little birdie is starting to grow.

Well, bad news... one of the eggs got pecked, the other was eaten by birbs, and we tried to save the two surviving eggs and incubate them, but they died. Poor dead birbs so we will have to let our young birb parents try again.

Thank you. Here's hoping the next clutch will have better luck. My mum really wants some baby lovebirds.

Oh, that's sad! I'm sorry. How long do they incubate for? I hope they get more viable eggs soon.

Sadly, the babies died in their eggs. Hopefully we'll have more luck with the next clutch.

Oh no! I'm sorry. Hopefully your birds get their chance for more baby birdies soon!

Is it hard for birds to have a bird family?

I think the problem is, these birds are so young that they're going to make mistakes.

Very cool. I also have two lovebirds.
It looks like you need to prepare a cage for the little love bird in advance.
