Default Ideas for sims/families to roleplay as?
I've grown really tired of The Sims lately, as my creativity is lacking. Whenever I make a new sim, I always have a very thorough idea of what personality and background story the sim have. And I match the sims background with the "right" clothes, house, furniture and so on. Choose a suiting job, only level the appropriate skills, etcetera.

But now I'm all out of ideas! Therefor I'm asking you fellow simmies for some tips and ideas on what kind of family to RP as!

Here's some that I've done myself (note that a lot are stereotypes and/or not very creative):

1. Teenager living all alone on the streets, begging for food and money.
2. Famous rich bitch, cheating on husband with her butler. 1920's fashion clothes and furniture.
3. Famous vampire traveling to different countries collecting stuff in dungeons.
4. Street walker.
5. Huge redneck families living in a trailer, drinking at the local pub daily.
6. Countryside family with loads of animals.
7. Witch living alone in a small hut, doing all "magic" stuff possible.
8. Nice child with evil parents. Or nice parents with an evil child.
9. Self sims, doing whatever me and my friends does.
10. Criminals! I've made lots of different criminal-career sims.

Note that the regular legacy-stuff bores me, as makin' babies ain't much fun to me. I'm not very interested in challenges either, just ideas for different kinds of families and stories!

Here's one I've tried:

- Make a Sims 2-style alien using black eye contacts, the green default skin, the bald hair on this site and extreme facial slider settings, then duplicate said alien about 7 times until you have a full household of identical aliens who are all named Colony Drone #(number). (Or seven colony drones and one Pollination Technician if you want them to have a definite leader.) Set their relationships so that they're all siblings, to further get across the idea that they're all the identical offspring of one of the Birth Queens found in some family trees in the second game.

Move said aliens into a small to medium-sized home, then build a large basement under it that's bigger than the house above ground. Perhaps place the driveable UFO in front of the house and name the building something like "Hugh Mann Place of Residence." Decorate the basement in a futuristic sci-fi style, then play the family as if they're the crew of a poorly-hidden alien base attempting to infiltrate human society.

That was the second family I ever made upon getting the third game. They've never stopped being funny, and half my screenshots feature at least one of them doing something ridiculous.

This is the concept for my new world, it's really fun thinking of the different weird alien quirks!

Another one I've done: Download a red skintone, some of the wing accessories out there, maybe some horns, an inhuman face texture as costume makeup and the glowing eyes on this site and make a big red demon. Place him somewhere obscure on the map, like in a lot designed to resemble a concrete bunker or a cave. Then have him wander around town fathering as many illegitimate half-demon offspring as possible. If you make his face look sufficiently inhuman (elongated, very angular features and long, pointy ears usually do the trick) you'll soon find large numbers of blatantly inhuman red-skinned toddlers being carried around by their baffled adoptive fathers.

I consider it my way of compensating for the lack of alien hybrid babies in the third game...

In one case, mine produced demon triplets. See below for pictures of Malphas the Eternal and his half-demon children.

How do you feel about a cross dresser and catperson living in a futuristic society while trying to become an acrobat and scientist. you could also substitute acrobat with any fame like profession and scientist with any rabbit hole job and you could also have the Catperson be any anthro type being. also You could just go with a cross dresser in a futuristic society. ... But frankly doing them together just seems more fun to me.

I made a (blue) brother and sister, who were required to remain on good terms with each other and in the same house, despite the fact that one was striving to become Emperor of Evil, and the other wanted to be an International Super Spy. They were both daredevils, but apart from that they had wildly differing personalities. The Good sibling kept trying to Brighten Day for the Evil one, and the Evil one kept waking his sister up at 3 am to scare her. It got even harder when they both actually got their LTW and the Emperor got that red flash...

I am Ghost. My husband is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.

My current one is a neurotic agoraphobic who makes her income exclusively by hacking and making "mood improvement potions" in her makeshift lab. I had a schizophrenic inventor at one point. That was fun.

I'm trying to challenge myself to adapt from 'interconnecting drama of controlled townies while building up the neighborhood' style I usually do in sims 2...

Try playing in a completely empty world where you slowly build up everything, the first being the 3-in-1 government building,... first inhabitant is a pet-lover(pioneers usually doesn't have anyone to socialize with initially) who tests the community lots you build... After plopping down enough apartments/middle class homes, and story prog starts bringing in townies... switch active households and create a themed household for anything you want to pursue... if it gets boring, switch active household and make a sort-of legacy family, whose goal is to eventually live in a 64X64 lot with mansion and spread their generation... or set some kind of legacy family rivalry going if story prog doesn't massively bork the lives of the legacy sims you've left behind... If things get boring you could always read the newspaper to find out whatever stupid thing story prog did to your other sims...

Am not exactly a fantastic builder, but it's very gratifying to see an empty world start filling up and become urbanized under your general control and supervision.

If you like collecting, you could make a lot of specialised collector sims like a gold rush golddigger (only collects/keeps gold metals), or a fisherman sim, or a scrap metal dealer(he's also allowed to blow up things at night).
The town vampire could be a nice count by day that invites people to lavish "dinner" parties by night.
A young aspiring architect buys an old mansion in need of huge repaires/remodelling/garden landscaping.
A diva sim with a pink poodle that craves the paparazzi attention.
Lizard man: he collects lizards and looks like one too.

Great, but where did you get that awesome face texture? I could only find 'realistic' face texture on internet
