Default do you think they should have released seasons before supernatural?
I think they should have or release the seasons next month I'm not too into the supernatural. there are probably plenty that arnt either. I hope they release it in time for Halloween that would be cool.
what would you like in the next expansion pack i would love something realistic like
sims that are paralyzed and are in wheel chairs kids that can have cerebral palsy same with adults.
Tomboy clothes for the women and girls
baggy pants and shorts for all
sports outfits as a set and individual
Hockey Jerseys
skateboarding for all ages- i would love to see a sports theme pack
swim shorts for all
kids being able to do more things.
more sports Hockey, soccer baseball where a kid, teen and adults can pitch a ball and the kids can bat it back.
More stuff for kids and Teens like the teen bedrooms back the kids bedrooms back.

hearing aids, wheelchairs, leg braces walking with crutches, prosthetic limbs ect...
Medical stuff like feeding tubes nose and somach oxygen masks being able to make sims that have asthma or diabetic with insulin pumps or needles
kids and teen pack with stylish clothes and some teen furniture back. i would really like the ikea one and a sports themed pack along with business and university sims can have scars like real life have open heart surgery or have medical stuff like broken bones.

No, I'm having fun exploring the supernatural elements...though how exactly one explores glittery wings, I couldn't say. I haven't read any of the rumors re: Seasons, but I am concerned about the possibility that weather will make gardening more difficult, so I'm happy to put it off. (I spend all of my time in TS2 looking for more challenge, and all of my time in TS3 thinking how much work everything is.) Plus, I'm going to want a new machine to run it on.

Ehhhh it doesn't matter to me.As long as EA don't cancel or push it more on the EPs then I'm all good. c: Though I'm hoping they would add on giving the option to celebrate certain holidays for each Season like Fall for Thanksgiving and Halloween. Winter Christmas and New Years and etc. but from the looks of it I doubt it.

i dont think they should of released late night and supernatural as separate ep's. they both fit into each other.
im just surprised there releaseing seasons next month, although it would explain why EA were half arsed with testing supernatural for bugs if there concentrating on seasons.
And all the maladies of the world burst forth from Pandora's cooch

I don't think Late Night and Supernatural fit into each other as a single pack at all, aside from the fact that they both have Vampires. And even they got a makeover for Supernatural. Late Night is about clubbing, parties, and being a single Sim in the big city having a good time. Supernatural is about, well, Supernatural stuff.

I think they should have released Seasons immediately following the release of the game, so naturally it should come before Supernatural.

But I don't really mind at this point since we got them two months apart as opposed to the standard several months apart release schedule.

♫ Keeping this here until EA gives us a proper playable woodwind/brass instrument ♫
For now, though, my decorative Bassoon conversion for TS4. =)

i don't think so, because everyone would buy seasons and not pay much attention to supernatural. the sales for supernatural might even be lower. oh, and also the closer to christmas they release it, the more sales they will have most likely.

Well I was hoping I'd be able to celebrate Christmas and New Year with my sims in the summer, but that's not going to happen even with the adjusted holidays they are giving us. At least you can do some of it right.

Good God, no, a big resounding NOOOOO. As someone who is disabled with long-term illness, I play Sims for laughs and escapism, to have FUN - the last thing I want is all that stuff in my game, I have more than enough of it in my real life! A lot of that kind of idea could be modded in if someone really wanted it (there are already hospital furnishing and deco sets, wheelchairs, and so on, and Twallan has made a new disease mod http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Vector ), but I doubt the general public would want it in an expansion pack.

I would also say no to both the thread title and to the idea that they should release Seasons next month instead of November - I don't mind which order they release these expansion packs in, am enjoying the Supernatural pack and can happily wait until November for the next one to give my very empty purse more time to accumulate enough spare change to be able to afford the next one! Spacing the expansion packs out a couple of months gives people a chance to get to know their way all around each EP (and its inevitable bugs) before getting acquainted with the next whole new set of features (and the whole new set of bugs).

Would you also like to add aids and cancer...?

Gosh, that would be one freaking morbid expansion pack... The Sims is supposed to be fun, and when I think of things associated with fun, heart surgery, broken bones and cerebral palsy do not come to mind! What would the EP be called? The Sims 3: Disabilities and Diseases? That doesn't sound very appealing I'm afraid... So like EsmeraldaF said... A big resounding NOOOOOOOOO

I agree with the above, while some things in my game happens, deaths of sims from Child-Elder, animal death, adultery, unwanted pregnancy etc, they all seemed to pale when it comes to that.

I am actually someone with hearing aids, I play Sims 2/3 and other games to escape reality.. Why on earth would I even want to create a Sim-self of me exactly the way I am? I am miserable the way I am, if I do the sim's gonna look buffer, cuter and other stuff, because it's an escape from reality. He can be a five star icon even if I am not.

Just.. no, people play this game to escape from reality of life, they don't want to be reminded of things like that, (TAKE NOTE EA! We don't care if the teens are out after curfew or the children are missing school. Our adult sims should not have the right to scold without us cancelling it, and then grounding them etc).

I have to agree. In fact personally I wasn't all that happy with the Katy Perry stuff because it reminded me too much of real life.

Candy coated porn reminded you of real life? Lemme know where you live then! I'd enjoy women in giant cupcake bras sucking on di--giant lolipops.

What I meant was the reference to a real life person reminded me of real life. That's just my opinion though and I know some people will think different.

Back on topic: The release date of Seasons is actually a good time for me, because I have just the right amount of time to work on my custom mods and create households and houses for an entirely custom neighbourhood to create the exact reality I want.

Actually, from what I've seen, plants simply hibernate when it gets cold enough... so it should make gardening EASIER, if less rewarding Don't think there are any other changes to it at all... except maybe a grow speed boost in the spring? memory is hazy.

But you can also use the planters from SN to make an indoor conservatory or greenhouse, and avoid the weather altogether.

This is my opinion too, or better yet, in the base game :/ Then you could have made every EP take advantage of weather, and interact with it, and have every object and gameplay system designed for it from the ground up. Missed opportunity IMO! They prolly just had too much on their plate back then... but of every feature that was in an EP in TS2, the only one that I really felt strongly should have been in at release was weather/seasons.

Can't plant trees in a planter. 'course, it drives me crazy that the orange trees in my TS2 orangery go dormant in winter, too.

I do agree with your opinion that weather would have been a nice release in the base game, since it (potentially) has such a major impact on all activities. I hope they'll keep that in mind for TS4: the Simaggedon.

True, forgot about that

Just saw in this thread that rain will water plants... another way in which gardening gets easier with Seasons http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/591849.page

Aand seems that it's the summer that speeds plant growth http://isims.biz/se/arstider-forhandsgranskning/

You're going to think I'm a glass half empty type, but all I can see right now are the drenched plants from TS2. I shall hope Seasons doesn't introduce the ability to overwater plants manually or via rain.

Default Supernatural? eh
Supernatural is pretty useless if you ask me. Seasons has more important elements to the game while supernatural is just some added fun. I'm looking coward to he whole season festivals and activities and what not. Kind of wish this was released after pets or generations of something :/

I honestly think it was easier for them to release it at the end of the series sort of to make sure that every EP before that was ready for seasons. I don't really care in what order it was released. Seasons was one on my fav packs in sims 2. Going back to a plain world in sims 3 ... I didn't start playing sims 3 again after they released some of the EPs because i found it rather boring.

What I want is more interactions with kids. all toddlers can do isn't far enough. I want them to be able to at least talk to their siblings who aren't teenagers or whatever. I want it to be more family oriented like sims 2 was, i suppose.

I don't want the deceases. That's just no! But i want the option "get medical advice" to be actually meaningful. I mean, why do we get that if we can't even do anything with it? Like for example, if your sims is pregnant give it the option to go to the hospital and see what gender the kid is. I know if you have a doctor in the family he can tell you, but why pay 200 on medical advice if you aren't getting any. I hope that changes with seasons though. Like if you get a cold or the flu, you can go to the hospital and seek medical advice to know what kind of cold you have or get meds.

Aside from that i think there's a few pointless interactions. I get that some sims want to cook so and so's favorite meal but how are you supposed to know that? You can't remember every single sim's favorite food and it's not like you can ask. It sometimes just happens in random conversation between two simmies and if you have other sims to take care off, you miss that.

What I would love as well is if one sim in your household knows recipes that you can exchange them between the active household. It's do-able because you can trade kitchen secrets between your sim and a sim from town.

And now that i'm venting i really wish world adventures had an option to just make it a normal vacation without needing to do the adventures. You have to do all the adventures in order to buy a vacation home for starters and you need visa level three. What's the point in going through all of that and then having a vacation home? The only way that I see it, is to work on skills and extending life because once someone in your active family has done all the things you can't do it anymore. So all you pretty much do at those vacations is fish and well, look for stones and insects and if you're lucky you'll find seeds. And also that they finally fix that when you fish on vacation that you actually get to bring home the fish... that'd be nice as well.

That's it for now i guess.

If Seasons had been part of the base game, EA couldn't have made extra money on a feature that a lot of fans wanted. When they initially announced TS 2, it was supposed to include weather, which is why I wanted it. Then, they'd had to suspend the inclusion because they couldn't get it to work the way they wanted it to. I was extremely disappointed. If I recall, which with the meds I take may be way off, there was some talk about how they intended to include weather with TS 3's base game but couldn't figure out how to implement it in such a way that it could run on lower-end computers. I don't think they've figured out a way to do that, but I think the fans have up-dated/graded their systems.

Back to the main subject of the thread. Yes, I think they should have released Seasons before Supernatural simply for the fact that they have included seasonal festivals. Supernaturals would be the perfect compliment to the Autumn/Fall Festival.

I've wanted Seasons for so long, but now that it's been announced, I really don't care that they released Supernatural first. There is SO much gameplay with Supernatural, so many build objects, and tons of new stuff to do that I doubt I will have explored it all by the time seasons is released. I mean . . . I still haven't explored everything from Showtime!

Personally I think they are releasing EP's too quickly. It's all about the moola!
