This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise
New Patch Update - Grr! 1.42
A new patch downloaded yesterday: 1.42
Not only will my game not load but now the game launcher won't even open.
I have up to seasons, hence why it is in this folder.

The only CC I have is clothing and hair.

Am wondering if anyone has had this issue? And if so, do you know how I can remove the latest patch???

The only way I know of to un-patch is to reinstall (be sure that all your discs are usable before uninstalling) and then get the archived superpatcher for the patch level you want to stop at. After that, bypass the Launcher before starting your game, so that it doesn't keep bugging you about the new updates every time you load the game.

But it might not be the patch that is causing your issues. I would work through the Loading Crashes FAQ http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...Loading_Crashes (and possibly the related pages section at the bottom of the page first.)

Some mods are probably broken by the new patch and need updating, so it would be very good if they are gone...

But if you have nothing showing up anymore, you may have lost your resource.cfg file from the Mods folder. If that isn't the case, check the FAQ on getting CC to show up. http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...p:GCCTSU3_Start If that doesn't help, can you start your own thread with the screenshots that are requested in that FAQ?

I copied my mod folder on a memory stick then deleted it all. After re-patching it up everything seemed find however I don't plan to add my mods back in until I know most of them are updated.

Is this the right thread to ask wether my system can handle seasons?

No, it's not really the right thread to ask that. But since the question seems to be here anyway, you can find out what your system can and cannot handle by checking the System requirements FAQ, http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...em_Requirements and comparing it to your system specs. (Most of what you need to find to compare it with can probably be found by going to your control panel in the Start menu, and looking at "system" Your graphics card is in Device manager, under Display Adapters. ) You don't need to use the entire System Specs report unless you are still confused.

If you -are- still confused, please start your own thread, go to the System Specs FAQ here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...lp:System_Specs and use the template to copy the required information. Then start a new thread with the question.
