Default Mod compatibility
Should any mod that's already been updated to the 1.42 patch be OK with Seasons installed? Or could there potentially be problems?

Not necessarily. For instance, I found that the first version of Master Controller released after 1.42 breaks the new party types in Seasons; not surprising since Twallan didn't have that code to test against. Probably fixed in the post-Seasons update of that mod; I haven't had a chance to check yet.

The same is probably true of any other mod that contains features that interact with functionality which is in the EP but wasn't in the patch. Absolutely check your gameplay mods for a post-EP-release update or confirmation from the modder that it's compatible, or be prepared to do your own testing.

Any XML or ITUN mod compatible with the 1.42 is compatible with Seasons.

That Master Controller has already been fixed a day or two ago.
