Hi there Lucymoosey.

Just checking: are you aware that the things you download still have to be installed into your sims game? It's two steps:

1 - download from modthesims2 or some other site

2 - unzip the files and put them into a folder labeled "Downloads" in your game folder.

Because from what you wrote it sounds like you just downloaded it and then went straight to starting your game.
