These don't need updating, they work fine with the current patch level. You are unzipping the file and using the .package file, yes?

Loved this while I had it, but it made my game crash. Took me awhile to figure out if it was this because I desperately wanted to keep this mod, but for some reason it was definitely this one. I seem to be the only one who's had this problem so please don't feel the need to avoid this download just because of this happening to me! But if it could be fixed I would just love to use it again.

mine shows its working but its not registering so it says im a level 4 music but the game only says im a leve 1

This mod is fine with the December 16th patch. There has been alteration in vanilla game to the speed on Child skills, making the higher levels go a bit faster; these are the exact same numbers which I have already modded, so the effect with my mods is that the child skills go only 1.5 or 3 times faster instead of the 2x or 4x.

Otherwise the skilling in my mods for teens, adults and others is exactly the same as before this patch. I don't see that issue with the out of synch UI showing level 1 as opposed to level 4 (for example) when playing now myself, so I think that must be caused by something else.
