This is great!! I made this sim in bodyshop and it was perfect, then I went into it in-game and it was COMPLETELY different looking! My bodyshops even darker than the before picture!

I don't think you know how much you've made it easier for me to create(actually you probably do, but still :] ) I tried this out last night and it's amazingly better! I can actually see the colors of the towels in the background. can't thank you enough, you definitely deserve all the thanks you get :]

Thank you for sharing!

Edit: I just realized, they aren't towels they're shirts! I couldn't see that before ha!

There are two types of people in this world, ones who have claimed to have accomplished things, and those who actually have. The second group is less crowded.

I also noticed the bad lighting, unfortunately, with more light, it glares off the sims and makes it hard to see detail, especially when they're wearing white clothing, or have fair skin. I think it might be a better solution to change just the lighting in the background, maybe.

First, I need to thank you so much (so much that I actually had to post)!

I have begun to use Body Shop to create Sims (instead of using the horribly limited in-game builder). At first, I thought my skin tones* were too dark, but then I began to notice how dark they looked compared to screen shots once my Sims were in game.

It dawned on me that Body Shop was the culprit with its lighting.
The XXB file did the trick.

Look at this:

Before the fix, his skin looked fine - tan, but not too light. Problem was, this was my normal skin!

Once I added the brightest file - whoops! He's too light.

Ah! Much better. Flame thanks you too!

*My skin tones being skin tones and various additions I've collected from various MTS2 and XMSims artists. You guys are great!

What an amazing idea! I'm often running Body Shop for testing purposes and I'm slowly honing my skills as an artist in this particular field. But you know your lighting is bad when you find yourself readjusting the computer screen towards light even though it's just the program itself, ahaha. Thanks a million, this is a great idea, love it.
