I bought this PC almost a year ago, it came with Windows 10 but I upgraded to 11 a month or two after. That very well might explain the purple soup I got the other day, as I'd never experienced it on my old PC. I never had it with Windows 10. I set up Graphics Rules Maker, the 4GB patch and all the rest at the time I installed TS2 in early November. I had no issues with it until the other day, but maybe Windows 11 is the reason I never encountered the pink flashing disco lights before.

Touching on simmer22's reply, this is definitely a case of the game not recognizing as much ram you have. But the issue with the pink flashing happening more regularly ties into the game not clearing the ram provided often enough. Basically, I couldn't have house parties before suddenly pink sims were appearing and then my game time got gradually shorter each additional play time despite having more than enough ram and the 4GB patch installed. This video here was what helped with finally fixing the issue.

The US government requires those cloud storage companies to do that to cut down on the rampant perversion in this world, so all of them do unless you use something off shore. Microsoft does it, DropBox does it, Google does it, Amazon does it, Rumble does it, Twitter does it, Facebook does it, SnapChat does it, Wikipedia does it, 4chan does it, alt platforms like Truth Social, Parler, and Gab do it… Although I doubt they have an automated system screening posts for it like the big companies, I would hope even MTS would report kiddie porn if it were uploaded here (and ban the uploader). Thei EU supposedly respects privacy a little more, but I don’t know that I trust them. I use Yandex, which is Russian and undoubtedly the GRU looks at everything I store on it, but if I had my choice between that or American tech companies spying on me, I’ll take the GRU, reason being I’d rather neither spy on me, but if someone very corrupt gets elected to a high position in the US I can take comfort in the fact that the US government and the Russian government have a long history of not playing nicely with each other.

On the other hand, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Yandex or even the GRU would report kiddie porn through the NCMC portal the same as any other platform does, even though I don’t think they are required to do so. I don’t have to worry about that because I’m not into that nastiness (I don’t even do regular porn, much less kiddie porn). Nobody who isn’t that kind of pervert wants that evil to exist on their servers or anywhere else, hence why the US even reports it to countries like North Korea and Iran when people using IPs based there try to upload or download it.

I've been on 11 for a while now with no issue, had problems with eindows 8 previous so I find it lucky.

My computer automatically updated to 11 and I couldn't stop it in time. I was very worried about the game of course, but there's nothing different about it. The issues I have with my game I also had them on Windows 10, like smooth edges not working even though it's enabled, or crashing on community lots. Those are issues I have with my graphics card.

It works the same for me.

My computer (Windows 10) decided to break as a Christmas gift and I couldn't find a new computer with Windows 10 so I bought one with 11 and... well, you can read my installation process here: https://digisims2.tumblr.com/post/705008574142857216 I didn't do anything else than the exact same things I already had to do to get it working on Windows 10 and Windows 8. All that said, Windows 11 seriously sucks though so if you can find one with Windows 10 instead stick with it, it's much more userfriendly than this garbage OS is.

I've been running TS2 on Windows 11 for a while now; after installing the vanilla game I only used Graphic Rules Maker and nothing else - much less complications than I had on Windows 10. The game is running perfectly so I'd advise anybody who has to change to use GRM first and other programs only if GRM alone does not help.

That said I would not advise anybody to use Windows 11. They have some pluses (after you get rid of annoying pop-ups), but even after I tweaked everything I could think of it still feels ugly and clumsy. I would rather still use Windows 7 but sadly, my PC does not accept them anymore.
