Default Another TS4 mod - custom animation
This works in the CAS demo for now, as it can't be tested in game, for obvious reasons:

Custom animations before the game is even released. How exciting!!

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.

Hilarious choice of animation.

But more importantly, great work by all involved!

Inane but at the same time exciting! It's amazing how fast these people are able to make these mods.

You know that there was some code out there, is what you know

Poplular games are modded as soon as modders can get their mitts on the code, because the fun in the game is the modding and not the playing

I am starting to believe EA said give them the code and let the modders have at it. We can sit back and give a really basic game, don't have to work hard. I will revisit Sims 4 once the modders have mastered this game and made it fun. Otherwise, I don't see any other reason for me to buy this series.

I am so proud of the modding community and hope they keep it up!

This mod pretty much sums up the feeling most Sim players have with EA right now.

so this means the sims 4 will be much more mode-friendly than sims 3.
I can feel the smell of impending Walk style replacing mods, Porn mods, costum animation for interactions .
this game is promising indeed .
and dont forget about Python! Super Easy and userfriendly language i wish i had the demo

That would be so amazing. The modding community might be able to save the game. I really hope it's gonna be possible.

We still haven't found the behaviour/interaction scripts. That is either because there were none in the CAS demo or because the python was assembled into some other data format before being packed.

Hello. Since i havent the demo , and i havent have the chance to play with the internal files myself, Can you tell me how easy it is to, for example replace a walk style? Or replace an idle animation? Because i have lots of cool mod ideas in that area

I don't know how easy it is, cos I didn't have a hand in this mod, but I think it would count as an idle animation. I expect replacing a walk would be similar technique.

Now all we need is a shirt redesign that says "tots and pools 4 life" to go with that pose!

Damn already? Maybe this game will be mod-friendly than before and not hard coded. Now I just need Cas tools, Plugins that CC creators can join, superb CC Stuff, Lifestates that should of been added in the base game and pools then I might get this game. Not to mention if an OFB equivalent will come in the Sims 4 not just store items this time.

Anyway outstanding job Modders!! At least there is hope!

Unbelievable!

This must be a dream, go back to sleep again.

Btw, what can people do with the custom animation anyway?

for now it seems they can't do anything except just experimenting , since there is no live mode..
But i am assuming once the game is out, the possibilities will be endless... from simply replacing walk styles, to idles. to add new animation interaction to objects...

I gather from the people exploring the animations that custom animations could actually be a little easier in TS4 than TS3 because JAZZ has been replaced with something easier to use.

I wonder guys....

Is it possible to convert TS2 and TS3 animations to TS4 in just a single click?

I wish some of my favorite interactions in TS2, TS3 and TSM can be imported to TS4, or something new at TS4 to TS3 too.
