Default Adding another group to an object?
Is there a way to add a group to an object that has only 1 group (not including the shadow)?

The latest (test) version of TSR Workshop now allows this.

If I'm understanding correctly what you're trying to do, and where you are in the process of making the object, at this point it's probably easiest for you to just make the stereo you're working on hop rather than making a whole new item. Doing so using S3PE is a simple matter of changing one line from true to false as I just posted in your other thread.

Ok, thanks - both of you! My problem is solved. I can make the stereo now since I know that the stereo I want to clone can sit on a table, and it already has the 2 groups that I need. Thanks!
