This is a very specific ask, I know. I'm asking on the off-chance someone's actually made something like this.

I've grown increasingly annoyed by the incessant clicking noise when I'm in build mode. I know everyone knows what I'm talking about. That sound when you're placing something like a window. It's just a constant stream of *clickclickclickclickclick* when you're just moving it around.

Ideally, what I'd be looking for is something that silences all of the clicking before you actually place something, but keeps the one you hear when it's actually placed. I like having some measure of a sound when things are placed, just not all of that headache inducing clicking before I'm ready to place it.

If anyone knows of such a thing, I'd really appreciate it.

I have this by Shimrod over at The Naughty Sim Asylum. You will need to sign up.

This mod silences the UI, all of the mouse-click sounds are gone. This applies to Live mode, Build & Buy modes, Edit Town, CaS, etc. The sound of the camera click when taking photos or paintings or screenshots is not removed, as this is a gameplay action our sims are doing. Mod uses approximately 120 AUDT files; this mod should work with any game version, and is fine with the 1.36 game.

It's a bit more of a wide sweep than I initially set out for, but since I know my way around S3PE I think I can just delete the ones I want to keep. Nevertheless, thank you so much for the link.

Would you happen to know which of the AUDT resources affects the part I'm specifically trying to silence? As I said in the initial post, it's the "clicking" or "plonking" noise that happens in build mode, mostly when you are placing wallpaper, or a window, something like that. It's when you are just moving it around, not when you actually place it.

I suppose I might just download Shimrod's mod and delete the specific resources I don't want to be silent, like I was thinking earlier. I just wish I had an idea of which one specifically affects the one I'm looking to silence, so I don't have to go in and out of the game to check.
