Stumbled upon a mellow loop by Four Tet which they're streaming since October 28 for some reason.

Well, I'm starting up a compilation called "More Winter and Holidays Nintendo Music!" Kicking off with an orchestrated version of "Outset Island" from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker by The Blake Robinson Synthetic Orchestra, transitioning to an orchestrated "Sherbet Land," from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! & 8, by ClefferNotes.

Blurry Eyes - L'Arc-en-ciel

From now on I'm just a lurker, the sad truth about the Orwellian status of the sims community is not "off-topic" neither is "politics".

Oh wow @jotaerre I really love L'Arc-en-ciel, I only discovered them fairly recently (well, within a couple of years, but they've been around for a long time so I am just a baby fan! ) I couldn't think of the track you mentioned so I had to look it up, I really love the bassist and he seems to have a new bass every concert! Here is Blurry Eyes live:

Their fans are so... fanatical!

Yeah @simsample they have about 30 years around, I bought their first album in 1994 directly from Japan through internet, they're a bit extravagant on stage but really are great musicians, cataloged as "punk rock" band they are a very versatile group that goes from Ska (Blurry Eyes) to pop ballad in their repertory.

@jotaerre They are not known in my country (UK) at all as far as I can tell, I really love music, have a huuuuuge collection of digital, CD, concert DVD, vinyl & cassette but when someone recommended this to me on Reddit a few years ago, I thought, who are they and how is it I haven't heard of them? So of course I immediately went out and bought a load of their stuff! Thanks for that video, very cool (plus he has another bass guitar!) :lovestruc

among guitarists (yeah, I used to be a studio musician on guitars, mostly acoustic. bass and piano) we have a saying "the ideal number of guitars to have is the number you already have plus one".

Possibly you didn't hear of them in the U.K., here is another of my fave bands from the land of the rising sun, as you enjoy music as I do, pay special attention to the trumpet solos in the 1st video, and timbal (Latin drums) in the second one.

Lovely! I'm not a huge fan of salsa but these have so much energy! Lovely trumpets, I used to play trumpet and cornet, as well as baritone for a while, but nowhere near as good as that! That's true about the ideal number of guitars, I have quite a new bass that is keeping me happy for now, plus I am defretting one of my old ones so perhaps I can hold out from getting any new ones for a while!

Here I am listening to LP's "In The End" on New Years. Like a cheesy mofo.

Because the earth is standing still, and the truth becomes a lie
A choice profound is bittersweet, no one hears Cassandra Goth cry

Him indoors is listening to Northern Soul again...

I really like that one though, written as a Pontiac commercial but has become a Northern Soul staple.

Today marks a whole year since we lost Neil Peart. So of course I am listening to his drumming!
