Default Converting MMD anims to TS3?
Can it be done? I'd like to have an LMFAO dance mod for the game, but so far the anims I wanted are only available for Skyrim and MMD.

Most games use diffrent rigs and converting them is difficult i think.
So, not possible.

Is that a MMD animation???
Can you show the original and explain how you converted the skeleton/bones?

I'm sorry to hijack this thread, but if I'm understanding correctly, you imported the original MMD animation into blender to convert to Sims 3? How were you able to keep the Sims 3 body for distorting? Do you mind making an idiot's guide tutorial on the steps for how to do this?

Sorry for all the questions, but I would love to learn how to do this.

I actually attempted to convert the Skyrim port of that MMD dance mod with Niftools and some Havok utilities, but I found it a little too difficult since it does involve renaming bones and stuff. Oh, and can you do that for children and teenagers, too?

Anyway, here's one of them Party Rock videos in Skyrim:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWqFHOnfYro

It was also ported from the original MMD anim by MorososAp, which is why I asked as to the possibility of a TS3 version.

EDIT: There's a children's skeleton for Skyrim that you might use as a base, idk.

Yep, ditto with that. I'm also considering on having it converted to GTA-format .ifp animations, too.

I'm sure everyone has the Sims 3 .blend files that cmomoney has made for us, but I will place them here for easy access:

-Original Thread

There has yet to be a child .blend file, but there is a child base for Milkshape. Seeing that umpa has converted the MMD dance animations to Sims 3, I think it's very possible.

Also, everything about pmd to blender is on this thread:

Tested the anims on Molly - so far this is what I end up with:

I think it is quite possible to adapt this to a different age group, given that the original Skyrim dance anims work equally well on all ages as long as they use the same bone naming.

EDIT: Is this the anim transfer script that you're talking about, Umpa?

Yes Is a modified version of this script but works only with Mocap and not MMD. (I not have permission to distribuite this version - Ask to author)

For animate the teen I need 3ds Max Body.

Sims 3 not support Long Animation and long MMD not work. I think

Example I have the Thriller but animation (2 minutes ) stop early and not complete the Loop.

You mean a Sims 3 skeleton/body? The dance works for teens with no major issues, it's just that a children's version is needed.

IDK if this is what you're asking, but here, go check it out:

The Animator Player by cmomoney

Animation stop at 1:30 but I'm not Sure.

In Smd Animation is 2:40 minutes.

I can share Thriller Smd if you want. Milkshape load this in a VERY long time..

Some MMD animation are 3 or 4 Minutes..

It might need to be split up into parts and played as a sequence in the player.

Can you try running this tool?
http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=452314

For some reason I can't get this bloody tool to run: http://chii.modthesims.info/getfile.php?file=1226052
Tried putting the .ms file on startup but nothing happens. I'm using 3DS Max 2010 x64.

Disregard the post above; I managed to export the ms3d as an FBX so that Max can open it. I did get some warnings, but the dance anims still worked when I shoved the LMFAO smd on it:
http://www.mediafire.com/?r70a3b9mphp4b5p

I'm no animator, so sorry if there are some eff-ups in what I tried to do.

There is problem with some bones in your file and animation transfer with error.

I have max 2010 and the script you linked not work ( I think is for 2011)

Ouch. Anyway, do you have any instant messenger accounts, like MSN, Skype or even Facebook? Might want to contact you from there.

EDIT: Have you tried the Blender version? http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=464646

For some reason I couldn't port the file into Max properly; while I did manage to import the FBX I made out of the blend file, the mesh in the FBX file had bad joint assignments.

EDIT2: Tried exporting the .blend project file as an OpenCOLLADA .dae, dunno if this one's alright for you since it doesn't look like it's properly scaled and oriented when I open it in Milkshape:
