So those of you who frequent Nintendorks Island may have noticed that we just picked up at least 50 new members in under a day. They say that the were all banned for being on the wrong side of a dogs vs. cats argument over at nintendojo.com. Somehow they found us. What do you want me to do with them?

On one hand, we have been trying to branch out, and we need new members to keep growing.

However, they seem more interested in simply continuing their nintendojo antics. One posted porn and sent it to sheba (cavecat), one was banned for impersonating me, and one was banned for asshatery to others. They have obnoxious signatures that are these HUGE pictures.

But some of them do seem to want to obey the site's rules and respect my authority. They seem to really enjoy the community.

The options are as follows in the poll.

Ban them. I've seen spam before, but this is fracking ridiculous.

none of your choices, keep the good ones, hunt down and kill the bad ones. after all, on one hand, some of them haven't done anything, on the other, some of them are unjust, and the unjust must be punished in a way that their evil ways will never bother another person.
but of the choices, I pick option 4, not all of them are bad, just some of them.

Moving on, are there any new members that look like they should stay? Some that don't talk like 10 year olds and make fun of the censoring rule by writing in words that need to be censored, and then censoring them?

I have contacted the public relations mod over at nintendojo.com. we'll see if he confirms or denies their story.

If he denies the story, they're all going to go. If he confirms it, that makes matters more difficult. Honestly, I'm hoping they're lying, I don't need all the trouble of figuring out who is for real or not.

I have to say, i'm slightly dissapointed by the rashness of your actions raps. you at least should of found the non-spammers so you could remember not to ban them. it would've cost you just a little more time, and could've gained the site a couple cool new members.

I've explained a comprimise to them. If they can keep the spammers back on their site, they can get their IPs unbanned.

Please.. someone tell me exactly what's going on.. I was sick yesterday and I couldn't be on.. *sigh*

Synopsis: There was a bunch of new people who showed up saying they had been banned from nintendojo for being on the wrong side of a debate of cats vs dogs. It quickly became apparent that if they had been banned, there was likely to have been more of a reason than that. Even after being reminded that there were underage users present they were not toning things down any.

One of them posted a PS3 ad, then complained when it was deleted as spam even though it was in the thread for spam.

Several others started threads that were obvious attempts to see how raunchy they could get before the threads vanished, and then posted new ones wondering where the old ones went.

There was a user (JA) that said he had actually come from MTS and didn't want to be the new kid on the block, but with all the other new people joining he finally felt like he could join, and there were a few others who seemed like really decent people, but most of them were rapidly becoming candidates for the "ignore" option.

Especially when one of them commented that you don't need to use "Guy Parts", because everybody here was mature enough to use the word P___S. (They actually filled in the blank, though.) And this was after the third reminder that we have underage users!

Well, I guess it's time to put on some smiley faces and greet the new guys that genuinely want to be there. Hopefully we won't have anything like this again.

I think they've learned their lesson. And I only had to tell them my best kept secret to get it to happen. >_> Oh well.
