Default How to make split-levels in basement. (no cheat needed)
This mini tutorial is just to show how a basement with split levels can be made without any cheat, and is intended to be for all types of audience except the blind. I'm sorry I'm too bad to do auditory tutoring. If there be something to clarify, please ask by posting below. Please no "thank/nice job" post. Suggestions and/or corrections are welcome.

000. To show you the basic prop. A block of foundation is open to allow the game to render light inside the basement.

001. The yellowishly tiled region is high as the the outside ground (this's to show where to start, so it's unnecessary to tile it like that). The foundation is 4-click-high/ a quarter height of the default wall.

[Making a basement first]

002. Now, let's start with a connecting/modular stair (found below the staircase selection) To learn some basics of this sort of stair. May read Jonesi's Stair behaviour when making split level staircases

003. Add the second to the lower end of the first.

004. And the third, then level (with the levelling tool from the terrain tools) from the lower end of the third (the lowest grid/square at the moment) to wherever you want your basement will entend to.

005. Now ,delete all the connecting/modular stairs (by selecting a connecting/modular stair tool or eye-dropping any connecting/modular stair, and then hold the "crtl" button on your keyboard)

006. May entend the basement to where the stairs were by levelling. (forgot how? check out step004)

007. (Just use a different type of tile, a black tile here, to show where the basement is at) For those who can guess what's next, you're done.

[now, make a lower split level in the basement]

011. As you can imagine, use the same tool (connecting/modular stairs) and the same method used to make the basement. Get a connecting/modular stair and use it to lower the region where you want to be the first lower split level of your basement.

012. Level the first lower split level from the lower end of that connecting/modular stair...

013. ...to the rest of the region of the lower split levels.

014. (Just to show the finished.) As it's shown, normally a row of grid/squares will be used up for the inclination/warping/twisting for, so may tile them as if they were walls. For those who have already grabbed the concept, you're done. The following is just for additional demonstration.

[now, make a second lower split level in the basement]

021. Get a connecting/modular stair and use it to lower the region where you want to be the second lower split level of your basement.

022. Level the second lower split level from the lower end of that connecting/modular stair

023. May tile the second one with another set of tiles to the distinction.
