Generally, I'm afraid of custom careers (one broke my game); however, I am intrigued by this "thought-based approach" and am willing to give it a go.

Thank you, this sounds really cool. Maybe it will inspire others to make careers like this. I can't wait to try this out.

Does it overwrite any of the careers?

Superfly, great idea and great chooise of outfits, thanks for sharing!

Just one thing before i try it, it want's me to overwrite the book from Wintermutai1, is it the same one?

I quote you: "You can have winter's book and my modded version without any problems, as they do not share the same guid."

Since it had another date i rather ask first.

Nicely spotted smithy- I neglected to alter the filename...

If you re-download the new version, the two objects will not overwrite each other

If this career is based o having to read each chance card, have you altered it somehow to force-pull a chance card at every level, or to only promote via chance cards, so that some don't get missed? Also, did you take out the randomness usually involved with chance cards? (85% right/15% wrong is how maxis laid most of them out.)

The chance cards appear 100% of the time at each level. Therefore, you cannot promote yourself using just skills and friends.

Thanks m8! Im currently working at a banker career myself, with my new moneypile object as a reward, i have it allmost finished except for the chance cards, im at joblevel 6 yet and they take the largest amount of time ive noticed.
Didn't realize that careermaking was so time consuming and fun at the same time.

i was really looking forward to this and superfly you have made some of my fav careers
however this one seems to be missing the text?? everytime i play the chance cards and promotion thing is blank. all my other careers seem fine any idea what could be causing this

I just ran through this career and only one (the very last) chance card ever appeared and every time I was promoted it said "you have been promoted to !" and then there was a big blank spot. Basically I didn't get to read any of the text and reached the top of the career in less than a sim week. *shrugs a bit* maybe I installed it wrong or something.
