There's nothing wrong with the files Shoukeir uploaded. The file names are the names of the original paintings they replace - check for yourself here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=82329

@Shoukeir: These are absolutely beautiful, thank you! I've used your other set for months, but now it's time to change them! :lovestruc

I had no problem with these. Macm, you do have to make sure that if you have another replacement painting that you want to keep, that any of these won't override it. I find that backing up folders and using Clean Installer helps a lot.

Anyway, I downloaded several of these, and they really are lovely. Thank you!

These are really beautiful! Thank you!

One thing, though, I'd love to have them as non-defaults as well.
Could you make them as non-defaults, please?

No, that is not OK.
Can you paint a custom paintings in your game? If not, the non-defaults are useless for you.

terriecason
Yes, that's right. When you click on the easel and select "paint custom painting" menu, you can choose the image (jpg, png, bmp) located in the Paintings folder.

Thanks for uploading the non-defaults as well.

I had completely forgotten asked for them. *blush*

BTW, just visited your site a few days ago and downloaded tons of stuff. Sims2Play is one of my all time favourite sites!

I downloaded the non-defaults, extracted them into the /Paintings directory. When I choose the "custom painting" option on the easel, all that shows up are the Maxis-provided dog and cat photos. What step did I miss?

I got them to work! Pretty paintings for the win!

I'm not sure what the deal was with my game either-- I removed hacks and mods, I deleted those Maxis pet photos, I did both at the same time and had problems.

I got Seasons recently, tried again, and they show up now! No idea what was going wonky with Pets *scratches head*
